Happy Diwali [open]
Who: All of Paradisa! That means YOU
What: Feasts and fireworks, oh my!
When: The third day of Diwali; Friday, Oct. 28th
Where: Everywhere (though just the ballroom for the feast)
Rating: Um, not more than PG? This is a family holiday, guys, come on...
Diwali is living up to it’s name today. The lights are everywhere today both outside and in. Stands of candles line the lobby like a temple and lanterns hang from the very ceiling. Everywhere there is light.
Today, however, you can add new smells and sounds to the list as well. Music drifts through the air into the lobby, along with the fragrant, spice filled scents of foods and sweets.

Alleria continued to do her best to be polite and patient about all this, even though this was the opposite of what she wanted, and just nodded, occasionally interjecting with an "ah" or "I see."
There was a lot of food on the table; this could take awhile ...
no subject
"What have I told you about doing that, angel?"
no subject
"Don't interrupt, Crowley. Miss Windrunner asked to know about the dishes on offer."
no subject
Alleria instantly bristles, her hand going to the sword at her hip. "Who --"
no subject
He gives Alleria an idle wave.
"Name's Crowley, sorry about the angel, we don't always let him loose on these things unsupervised."
no subject
"Miss Windrunner, unlike certain people, is interested in what I have to say."
no subject
For Alleria's part, she took a moment to look between Crowley and Aziraphale. Upon deciding that Crowley wasn't a threat to her friend -- unless 'obvious annoyance' counts as a threat -- she slowly lowered her hand from her sword. Frowning at Crowley, she nodded perhaps a little curtly. "Alleria."
Her eyes lingering on Crowley, she addresses Aziraphale after a moment. "It's alright. If you two have business you need to attend together ..."
no subject
Crowley gives a wide smile, dropping a hand on Aziraphale's shoulder.
"We really, really do. Big stuff, you know. Cosmic balance and all that. You know how it is."
no subject
"No, we do not. I'm afraid I am currently engaged with Miss Alleria, we can talk later."
no subject
"Ah ... I wouldn't want to disrupt the cosmic balance," she said slowly. You are startling her, Crowley. "If you've angel business ..."
no subject
He sends Alleria another charming smile.
"He's always got to be so gentlemanly."
no subject
He turns properly to Alleria, giving her an apologetic smile and reaching out to pat her awkwardly on the shoulder.
"Until next time, Miss Windrunner."
no subject
"Of course," she says, then smiles a little thinly at Crowley, inclining her head. "A pleasure to meet you."
no subject
"Likewise, ciao," then to Aziraphale. "Come on, angel, can't keep things waiting."
no subject
"Well? What is it that couldn't wait?"
no subject
"What? Oh, nothing. I was just getting you away from the big eared lass before she died of boredom."
no subject
"Then if you will excuse me, I have people who enjoy my company waiting."

Drawing himself up to his full height, and puffing his chest out in the time honoured way of the slightly annoyed parish council member, he began to stalk past Crowley.
no subject
"You are, you're annoying that woman."
no subject
If for no other reason than this was wrinkling his angora wool outfit, and nobody wanted to have to try and iron out those creases.
no subject
"Fine, be a bad party guest, if you so wish."
no subject
"I'm... I'm not, am I?"
no subject
"Nah, not that bad. You're just out of practise."
no subject
In actuality, the last dinner party that Aziraphale had attended had ended with a pheasant course and cigars.
