[open] that other ho ho ho job

Who: Alec Hardison, Sophie Devereaux, and OPEN
When: this morning
Where: Starting in the Leverage Tower and all over the castle
What: Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to town...
Rating: G-PG

[They may have been put off schedule a bit by castle shenanigans, but Sophie and Hardison haven't forgotten those Santa letters. They have bought the gifts and wrapped them, and even though Christmas is over, it's time to hand them out...]

Hardison: [looks at the wrapped presents] Damn castle gettin' in the way of our plan... [a sigh] We don't even have a Santa.

Sophie: What do you mean we don't have a Santa?

Hardison: We never got to hold auditions.

Sophie: So?

Hardison: So we don't have a Santa.

Sophie: Hardison. Just because we didn't have auditions, doesn't mean we can't have a Santa.

Hardison: Who's gonna be Santa? And don't say Eliot, we already went over that.

Sophie: [moves closer, and places her hands on his shoulders before giving him a look]

Hardison: [raises a brow] What? ....me?

Sophie: Do you see anyone else stepping up to the plate?

Hardison: [a slow smile] Well...I do know what we got for everyone.

Sophie: [smiles back] And it was your idea in the first place.

Hardison: ...so I'll be Santa. [a laugh] I'll be the best Santa this place has seen!

Sophie: That's the spirit!

Hardison: Time to suit up!

Sophie: [smiles and goes to get changed herself]

Hardison: [quietly to himself, with a grin] Ho ho ho.

[and before long, Santa and Mrs. Claus are roaming the castle grounds...]

{ooc: Feel free to tag in! They'll be going to knock on doors of the kids that wrote letters, so catch them around the castle and such. And if yours wrote a letter...well, someone's knocking on their door. If they didn't write a letter...there might be something in Santa's sack for them anyway...}

By some miraculous turn of events, Edward is actually in her room on this fine morning!

It takes her a minute to register that someone's knocking. And another to realize that they're knocking on her door. She sits bolt upright where she was sleeping on the floor "A visitor for Edward?" Racing over, she throws open the door, eyes as big as saucers.

"Santa?"

Edward grins, hopping up and down excitedly. "Santa, Saantaaaa!" Then a thought occurs to her and she stops, a confused look on her face. "But... it's not Christmas."

"Edward gets a gift! Yaaaaaaaaay!" She cheered and hopped up and down, clapping.

"Edward never got a gift from Santa before!"

Her eyes get as big as dinner plates as she reaches out to take those beautiful flowers. She'd never seen anything like those outside of the internet.

"Thank you!"

Awww!!

It didn't seem possible, but Ed's eyes get even bigger as she takes the box. Setting the flowers aside, she rips the wrapping paper to shreds and opens the box, staring for a second before taking out the necklace.

"Edward's never had anything like this before."

She nodded, still staring at it. "Edward will!" Turning it over in her hands, she undid the clasp and started to put it on.

She let him take it, leaning over so he could clasp it behind her neck. When she stood up again she quickly wished up a mirror and looked at herself, wide eyed. "It's pretty!"

Edward nods with a smile, "Okay! Edward will be good! Merry Merry Christmas, Santa!"
