[open] that other ho ho ho job
Who: Alec Hardison, Sophie Devereaux, and OPEN
When: this morning
Where: Starting in the Leverage Tower and all over the castle
What: Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to town...
Rating: G-PG
[They may have been put off schedule a bit by castle shenanigans, but Sophie and Hardison haven't forgotten those Santa letters. They have bought the gifts and wrapped them, and even though Christmas is over, it's time to hand them out...]
Hardison: [looks at the wrapped presents] Damn castle gettin' in the way of our plan... [a sigh] We don't even have a Santa.
Sophie: What do you mean we don't have a Santa?
Hardison: We never got to hold auditions.
Sophie: So?
Hardison: So we don't have a Santa.
Sophie: Hardison. Just because we didn't have auditions, doesn't mean we can't have a Santa.
Hardison: Who's gonna be Santa? And don't say Eliot, we already went over that.
Sophie: [moves closer, and places her hands on his shoulders before giving him a look]
Hardison: [raises a brow] What? ....me?
Sophie: Do you see anyone else stepping up to the plate?
Hardison: [a slow smile] Well...I do know what we got for everyone.
Sophie: [smiles back] And it was your idea in the first place.
Hardison: ...so I'll be Santa. [a laugh] I'll be the best Santa this place has seen!
Sophie: That's the spirit!
Hardison: Time to suit up!
Sophie: [smiles and goes to get changed herself]
Hardison: [quietly to himself, with a grin] Ho ho ho.
[and before long, Santa and Mrs. Claus are roaming the castle grounds...]
{ooc: Feel free to tag in! They'll be going to knock on doors of the kids that wrote letters, so catch them around the castle and such. And if yours wrote a letter...well, someone's knocking on their door. If they didn't write a letter...there might be something in Santa's sack for them anyway...}

It takes her a minute to register that someone's knocking. And another to realize that they're knocking on her door. She sits bolt upright where she was sleeping on the floor "A visitor for Edward?" Racing over, she throws open the door, eyes as big as saucers.
"Santa?"
no subject
"Merry Christmas, Edward! I'm sorry I'm so late, but...well, time got away from me. I was playin' a new game that Mrs. Claus gave me."

"Don't want your gift?"
no subject
"Edward never got a gift from Santa before!"

And he lifted out a small bouquet of tigerlillies (http://unity-farmington.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/tiger-lillies.jpg) and held it out to her.

"Thank you!"

"You're welcome." Then Mrs. Claus elbowed him and he remembered something. "Oh! Well....Mrs. Claus thought you should have somethin' that will last a little longer, too, so she picked this one out."
He lifted a small wrapped box from his bag and held it out to Edward as well. Inside the box was a necklace (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2072/2398711082_8939e4856c.jpg).
Awww!!
"Edward's never had anything like this before."
had to!

After a minute of examination, she shrugged, "Well, the Santa I grew up with's a duck. I guess that's too much to ask for here."

He knelt down and dropped his bag on the floor, starting to peer through it. "I think I've got somethin' in here for you."

He pulled out a wrapped gift that was shaped oddly enough...like a hockey stick. He handed that over and pulled out a box next, which she would soon find contained a pair of roller skates.

Setting that to one side, she grabbed the box and tore that open, too, snatching out the skates. "Thanks!! I think this is the first time Santa's given me what I asked for!"

Leverage Tower
Parker's bunny is on the floor, moving about picking up the stray bits of carrots that Eliot has been "conveniently" dropping, so watch your footsteps.
no subject
"That's a lot of cheese."

no subject
Shaking his head, he moves to pour more of it into the pot to melt down, "It'll keep anyway, plus Parker likes melted foods."
