[thread] Lana in Brownie land!
Who: Ravi, Lana
What: Ravi enters Lana's Land of Brownies aka the kitchen
When: umm..brownie time..so like..now
Where:Lana's brownie land Kitchen
Rating: uuuh PG-13 or something.
Lana was trying to decide whether she was brave enough to shoo the ghosts away from her brownies or not. The things still really freaked her out. All of them but the one she'd been calling Brutus since the Masque. She stepped forward to shoo one of them but then scuttled back to her position next to Brutus by the counter. She picked up her Pepsi and sipped it out of a bright colored bendy straw, staring at the ghost with a look of mixed frustration and contemplation.

Well, heading down to the kitchen for a couple of minutes to pick up a few of those brownies probably wasn't going to turn into a catalyst for any disasters. Ravi left the room with a promise to return in no time and made his way to the first floor.
Setting foot inside the kitchen, he stopped for a moment, taking in the sight. Wow... That really was a lot of brownies in here. Lana hadn't been exaggerating, huh?
Ravi's gaze fell on a girl by the counter and he offered her a smile. "I'm guessing you're Lana, right?"

She blinked at him then tilted her head, taking in his appearance. She decided he was very good looking. Her eyes settled on his face and lit up a little. She pointed, "You have an eyepatch."
She paused for a moment..that had been rude hadn't it? Damn. "Uh..I mean. Yeah I'm Lana..." She at least had the grace to look a little embarrassed.

His smile widened. "Kinda like a pirate?" he remarked jokingly before adding, "I'm Ravi." It was probably a good idea to let her know who he was in return, in case she was wondering why he knew her name, since handwriting didn't tell you much. "Guess 'nice to meet you' works better now, yeah?" He looked at Lana curiously. Wasn't she the same Lana who'd been behind that 'better-than-sex' cake? Well, she was pretty cute, so maybe she knew what she was talking about there...
Ravi took a few more steps into the kitchen to approach the counter, glancing at the ghosts floating around nearby. Maybe they really were thinking of getting their territory back or something like that, even if it was hard to tell if they were about to get mad and what would happen if they did.

She hopped onto the counter to sit then grinned and laughed, "Yes, 'nice to meet you' works a good deal better when you're actually meeting someone." She paused then looked around the room at the unreal amount of brownies lying about. Lana was probably sitting on the only flat surface in the kitchen that didn't contain some. She gestured around the room, "Help yourself. I think the ghosts are about to start throwing them away or something...I'd shoo them away but...I just don't like them. They freak me out to no end....except this one," she gestured to the ghost next to her. "Brutus is okay."

Ravi turned his attention back to the brownies sitting around the kitchen as Lana spoke. "They look pretty good," he said. He had to wonder how long it had taken to end up with this many of them, though. Not that people didn't have a hell of a lot of time on their hands in this place, as long as clashing between exorcists and Noahs and invisible monsters and guys going on rampages and all those things didn't happen.
"I'd stick around to help guard 'em from the ghosts, but I gotta head back upstairs soon." Ravi smiled at Lana, then glanced at the ghost she'd just introduced him to. "So this guy's got a name? Those other ghosts didn't seem so bad, either."

She laughed lightly, "Of course they're good," She said in reply to his comment. "I made them. Everything I make is good." She winked then focused on Brutus. "Yeah I named him. I don't like the other ones. They freak me out something severe. Not that I know why I'm okay with Brutus and not the rest of them...thenagain I don't need a reason to do half of the things I do." She laughed again, she knew that a good deal of the decisions she made and the things she did were ridiculous but at least they kept her from being bored.

Lowering his hands, he placed them inside his pockets, giving Lana another grin at the claim she made. "Yeah?" He tilted his head. "You made that cake Red was talking about, right?" In the end, he'd never actually ended up getting the chance to try a piece. Not that he had anything to compare it with, as far as he could remember. But, according to Misa, that kind of cake didn't actually live up to its name after all. Well, maybe it just depended on the person.
Ravi shrugged and added, "These ghosts here probably take some getting used to. 'Least they're not dropping in on anyone through any walls to haunt 'em." While he didn't find them creepy and they were really helpful to have around, they were still pretty weird to see.

Her grin turned into a smirk, "The better-than-sex cake? Is that what you're talking about?" She got a slightly dreamy look on her face and made a sound that was halfway between 'mm' and a sigh. She glanced at Ravi, her dreamy look disappearing as fast as it had appeared, "I know people say it doesn't live up to its name...In some instances it does, though. Like I told Misa..depends on the..." she realized she was talking to someone she'd JUST met just in time to cut off the word 'partner and replace it with, "person. In any case, I don't care what anyone says.. the stuff's amazing, whether it lives up to its name or not."

His expression grew surprised, then amused at Lana's reaction to his question about that cake. "Yup, that one," he confirmed. Judging by that look she'd had on her face just then, she'd either been thinking about the cake or, well, something else that the cake reminded her of, right?
Ravi smiled. "I never got to try it the other day, but I bet it's gotta be some pretty good cake."

Giving Lana a grin in spite of that, he added, "Sounds like I gotta make sure I'm around to wait in line for that next time round." But then, remembering that he had promised not to be gone for long and it was still his turn to take care of Kanda duty until Axel took over, Ravi reminded himself that he needed to head back up. He pointed at one of the nearby trays. "Mind if I grab a couple of those now?"

She then raised her hand and gestured toward the brownies, "Be my guest. Take the whole tray..TWO trays if you think you can eat them all."
