anger management issues [Log] =D
who: Loz, Lana, and anyone else who happens by (we'll make separate comment threads since he'll prolly be here for a while. unless your char wants to barge in another thread =3)
what: loz is angry and decides to try to beat up the castle [[ let's hope this vents some anger for the tourney X3]
when: yesterday
where: 12th floor hallway =D
Describing Loz as angry would have done no justice to how much he was fuming right now. Word from Kadaj that something just wasn't right - that the castle had taken something from him and he was now broken - really just set Loz off. He was already upset that he'd forgotten mother, that two Clouds were now here, and Yazoo was still missing, so this recent news just made everything so much worse.
He'd already taken apart his notebook, page by painstaking page, and it somehow was all back together again, which only seemed to piss him off more. And so now, he wanted to get revenge on the castle, the castle that took his memories away, the castle that broke Kadaj, the castle that just messed everything up.
And so he took to the hallway. His notebook was already out there after he threw it out the door and against the wall in a fit of rage, so why not take down the wall itself? He'd managed to destroy columns in Aeris's church and trees in the Forgotten Capital of the Ancients, so a wall couldn't be that much more difficult, right? It was only made of stone or at least a similar material, which, if hit properly, would crumple like paper. Well that's at least what he thought would happen. Loz was never one to think things through. That was Kadaj or Yazoo's job and Kadaj already gave him the green light. It was time to pummel some wall.
In a swift movement, fist met wall with a resounding bam which most likely resonated pretty far. Not a crack; not even a DENT. What was this wall made from? What could possibly be this strong that loz could not take it down? Well, whatever it was, Loz was angry, even more so now. without his pile-bunker, the Dual Hound, his efforts might be all in vain, but that wasn't going to stop him.

She was reading the name plates when suddenly WHAM! She was awakened from her little reverie of musing about strange names to a loud sound. She turned and stared. Lana had begun to make a list in her mind of some of the strangest things she’d seen and heard in Paradisa thus far. She decided this probably could be added to the list. So she made a mental note, ‘large, leather clad man with funny white hair beats crap out of wall.’
He was actually fairly good looking in a huge, angry sort of way. Apparently he had an affinity for black leather since it was all he was wearing. She imagined that it chaffed.
Without really thinking she cocked her head and asked, “Angry?”
She could have kicked herself. Lana Lang, since when is it ok to talk to huge, angry, leather clad men who have enough sanity to be attacking walls? What was she thinking?

A rather frustrated look flushed across his face. "Che," he finally muttered, looking back at the unscathed wall. This was getting nowhere fast, but he desperately wanted everything to be normal, for him and his brothers to be back to normal. Happy. Together. With mother even. He looked back at the wall for a moment, then back at Lana. He couldn't get over how soft her features were and somehow reminded him of Yazoo. Just a bit. He was always the effeminate one.
He withdrew his hand from the wall and turned towards her, his burlesque form massive compared to hers. His expression was not the most inviting for the average soul, but it wasn't devious, which meant he had no reason to play. Yet. A curious look drew across his face, his eyebrows flattening against the bottoms of the ridges and seemingly disappearing from sight. "Mother?"

Running would be good now Lana, he wasn't looking any happier. Or maybe disappearing into Dilan's room or something. It was around here somewhere. She leaned back on one of her legs as if she was going to leave but she changed her mind. For some reason she didn't feel actually threatened by this fellow...though perhaps that meant the castle had taken her sanity since anyone in their right mind probably SHOULD be afraid of this fellow.
She refused to squirm under that unbelievably intense gaze. "Do I look like your mother?" she asked with genuine curiosity. HELL! Who knew! Stranger things had happened in this place.

Fist met the wall once again, as Loz dejectedly and angrily turned backside to her. He didn't want her to see he was weeping. Yazoo would fuss at him for this, but he wasn't here, which made Loz even angrier. He was so confused and so upset at the same time, his emotions flaired up in a fit of chaos and ran rampant through his mind. "The castle took Mother away," he said quietly, sounding thoroughly upset.

Lana stepped forward toward him and reached out her hand toward his shoulder (or as high up on his back as she could reach, rather) but stopped and pulled back. Probably a bad idea...or was it? She moved her hand back and forth several inches a few times then it struck her. The castle had taken his mother. That sounded terribly familiar. She stared, eye brows shooting up. She looked up and down his huge frame. There was no way..no way...
This huge man COULDN't be Loz could he?! That sweet, sad little person she'd met through the journal? It just wasn't possible....was it? She reached out her hand again then one more time pulled it back and locked it behind herself. She'd been lucky thus far but the man had just been punching shit, she didn't want to press her luck TOO far... She ducked slightly around him to see his face, her brows lowered with something between confusion and curiosity, "L..Loz?"

But who exactly was she? He'd talked with so many people but only met a few of them. There was Ravi, Clark, Lana, Touya and Yachiru. Then there was Ping. He was definitely a she, but this one didn't try to hide it. There were others but he never cared to ask their names. He wasn't that social kind of person.
So who was she?
no subject
littleLoz!?It took her a moment to realize that he had no idea who she was. For some reason she had the habit of thinking that since SHE knew who she was everyone did. She shook her head suddenly then gestured to herself with both hands, "Lana...Lana as in Lana from the weird magical journal." She glanced on the floor at where it was laying at a strange angle, "The one that's...on the floor?"
no subject
So this was Lana. Out of the strange writings he wrote to, hers seemed most inviting. He couldn't quite understand why, but then again, he was never the type to question much.
He stepped on the journal again like putting out a cigarette but with more anger and ferocity. He wasn't angry at the journal, but instead the castle itself. He related the book to the castle and that in itself was enough in Loz Logic to destroy the journal as many times as he saw fit.

For some reason she found an odd fascination in watching him destroy the journal. Some part of her had wanted to do something similar this whole time. There was a part of her buried deep down that hated this castle and everything linked to it but she'd supressed it for the sake of her sanity. Loz, apparently, had not. Either that or someone had said something that he really didn't like.
She managed to break her enthralled stare at the smashing of the book and look up at Loz, eyebrows threatening her hairline again, "Did someone say something bad to you?"

Removing his foot, he bent down and reached up the tattered book, but as soon as he touched it, it seemed to go back to normal, just as before. Standing up, he frowned in absolute disdain. The thing kept returning to normal. He took the book with both hands and in one sharp motion, ripped the thing in half, then threw the pieces over his shoulder. It would be back to normal soon enough, so he really didn't care what state it was in right now.

Then with a look of determination she walked up to the wall and kicked it. It hurt. The damn thing bit back! Well..it didn't...but kicking a wall generally resulted in a little bit of pain. Equal and opposite and whatnot.
She wasn't sure why she did it. She knew very well kicking the castle wasn't about to 'fix' Loz's brother but for some reason she had felt terribly inclined to help.

Taking in a deep breath, he yelled, "FIX MY BROTHER!!!!"

The man was huge but the shock of his age and badassery was beginning to wear off as he said things like 'stupid mean castle'. He was certainly the Loz she'd met in the journal. She'd just completely misjudged his appearance.

It was done in such a non-threatening manner, he didn't know what to make of the touch. He was made for fighting and this tender touch was something so foreign, so obscure his mind was unable to comprehend its meaning.
And so he just stood there with an expression crossed between confusing and anger, looking at her, unsure of what to do next.
no subject
She wasn't quite sure what to say because she wasn't quite sure what his reaction meant. It was a very strange reaction to someone touching you.
no subject
Even with the spike on the tracks, Loz still looked at her cautiously, unsure if she was going to hit him or not. "Don't touch unless you're going to fight me," he replied. He was made for fighting and that's what he knew how to do best. She was very fortunate the violent streak hadn't kicked in yet. The sympathetic one was currently in control, which was somewhat abherrant, but he didn't bother to question why. He just wanted to make sure she wasn't going to suddenly lash out at him. And even if she did, he'd be prepared and would return the favor.

The rational part of her brain ranted in her head about being cautious, stupidity, and insanity but as was common with Lana she more or less disregarded it. This was waaaay too interesting to be very cautious about.
no subject
He wasn't too sure what to make of her still. She was sharp and bold, like Tifa, but didn't show any signs of wanting to fight, unlike Tifa. Truthfully, Tifa had been the only woman he could remember having contact with so he had little to compare when it came to Lana. She confused him, causing a conflict between his violent and sympathetic sides.

"Do you just not like me or does no one ever touch you nicely?"
Lana's nerves were beginning to tingle. Her mind could sense his...not hostility but...his defensiveness. Instinctively she knew he had been THIS close to crushing her to bits. Logically she probably should have left off the subject but Lana was far from logical in these matters. To her he wasn't angry WITH HER, he seemed more confused and defensive than anything. She was pretty sure he wouldn't hurt her and if he did...well...oh well. Pain was inevitable in life. If someone went around avoiding it they'd have a very boring existance indeed.
no subject
"Just don't touch me, unless you wanna fight," he said sharply. He'd never been one to give warnings but there was something about her that made him resist. He just couldn't understand why. Perhaps it was her boldness and her kindness that caused this internal conflict. Perhaps not.

She folded her hands in her lap. "First of all..." she glanced up and down his entire height then shook her head, "There is no way, in this world or the next, that I could ever harm you even if I was to try because...well...there's just no way." She gave him a little smile. She was tiny, he was huge, she had no powers and he was kinda scary. "Second, I don't think I'd ever WANT to hurt you even if I could. I just don't see why I would want to," She said with a little shrug and a smile at him.

An annoyed expression brushed across his face and he glanced over at the former notebook. Scratch that. The notebook was once again in one piece. It just wouldn't stay apart. Leaving the wall, he walked over to the notebook and picked it up, scowling at it. What made it come back together? No matter what he did, the thing returned to one piece. Oh well, it would serve it's usefulness again, most likely in the next few minutes.

She hopped off the table and picked up the vase that she'd dropped, "Wanna break a vase?"
She had almost offered to have him break her table but then where would she sit? It would have been most inconvenient for her. And Loz looked more like he wanted to break stuff than talk. She was a little weirded out about the touching subject. She couldn't touch him but he wondered if he could touch her? She decided to wait a little bit before asking that question.

She looked around, "Wait lemme get another one."
She scurried off down the hall and grabbed two more of them since they were lining the walls between every other door. She came back hauling two in her arms. She handed one to him then took her own and chucked it against the wall. God...that felt really good. She gave Loz a big grin and waited for him to dispose of his own.

She smiled, "But are you allowed to touch me?" She held out one of her hands just slightly, palm up unthreateningly and pointed to the middle of her palm, "Like there?"

She then shook her head and smiled at him, setting the flower back down gently, "Never mind, it's ok that you don't understand. Maybe I can explain it someday."

And now the flower was walking away, to get food, his favorite pasttime, but he wasn't hungry right now. He was in smashy mode. So he simply nodded and returned to smashing the wall.
