007 ~ One hospital is like another [Action/Dictated]

[So, it's time for work!

And, after a long and complicated Métro ride into the centre of Paris, and a bus to the banks of the Seine, Dr. Carson Beckett finally finds Saint-Pierre Infirmerie, where he was supposed to be working as a locum A&E doctor. He flops in behind his desk, making sure his pager is easily viewable, should he be called to an emergency, and takes out his journal.]

So, who else is starting their first day in Paris without being able to read or speak a bloody word of French?

Aye, everyone here speaks English, but I swear they're bloody talking about me behind my back... And all the labels are in French, too.

((OOC: Feel free to come into A&E with some odd injuries, or to just bug him. Open for voice over journal, or action at the hospital. Also, happy to forward-date, if wanted. Carson is also on-call, so happy to accept random calls in the middle of the night, either by journal or phone!))

Okay, Mr. Maine, please come this way.

[He follows, limping slightly, but otherwise looking like he's bored.]

[Trust me, Carson isn't looking too enthused, either. This is the sixth leg-related injury today.

They enter an observation room, and Carson motions onto the bed.]

Take a seat on the bed, Mr. Maine, and we'll have a wee look at this bite.

[He pulls himself up, then gets right to rolling his pantleg up and unwrapping the field dressing he'd put over it. He's also glancing around. It's not really his favorite setting.]

[His tone is a bit serious. He leans in to examine it a bit more.]

This needs stitches.

Sir, if you don't let me do my job, there's a chance that wound can get much worse. [He keeps his professional tone, but there's an edge sneaking in there, one he usually reserves for stubborn military personnel.]

Now if you want to make sure you can continue using that leg, I suggest you sit back down and let me do my job.

Cleaning it won't be enough. After a day, the tetanus, and whatever other diseases that dog may have had, could've already passed into your bloodstream.

Growl all you like, sir, but I'm not impressed by your attitude. Why even come here, if you don't want to be treated?

[He folds his arms] If you do not receive a tetanus shot to remove the bacterium, and it worsens, there will be a lot more than needles, when you're carted in here, unable to move some limbs and twitching like hell.
