[Over the past few days, York's been trying to keep calm. Kat's name had disappeared from the room she and Noble-Six had shared, and he's scoured the floors at least three or four times and made several filtered entries to her. Wash was being unresponsive as well--his nameplate was still there, thank God--but even York couldn't pick the lock. So today he's pounding on the door in the third floor hallway. Naturally, he doesn't seem to notice or care that his journal has opened.]
God dammit Wash, open up or I'll break the damn door down!
[UNSC filter, sans Maine]
Please tell me you're all still here. We're down at least two, maybe three.
[/UNSC]
[Doctors]
Uh, you guys are still here, right? Please say you are. [Even if you're Muppets.]
[/Doctors]
((ooc: Open in person or over the journal. Probably not the best time for kissing unless you're one of the predetermined ones who will punch York in the face for trying.))

Speed enhancement's gone too.
no subject
Well, that's just peachy.
Could have been worse, I guess, but that's not exactly nice of it. [Worse being, of course, that it could have been memories of him.]
no subject
Still, she'll try one more thing. She flips on the voice modifier and speaks in Wash's voice,] Castle, I'm out here. Better open the door.
no subject
Nothing.
no subject
Who else are we missing, York?
no subject
...Kat. And Tex.
no subject
Both today?
no subject
Tex today. Kat--I haven't seen her name on a nameplate in a few days. Was hoping she'd just moved or something.
no subject
C'mon. [Offering her hand out to him.]
no subject
[might be gone might be leaving and there's nothing we can do about it]
no subject
I know. [Firmly. If nothing else, she's going to help distract him while she can. She'll mourn Wash, in her own way, in privacy when there's no such threats. She keeps her hand offered out to him.] We'll contact Rookie and Six and then return to my quarters.
no subject
Okay. I--yeah, okay.
[Timeskip??]
Let me know if any of this isn't okay! <3
On the coffee table in the living room sit two six packs of beer (light and dark), a bottle of whiskey, a bottle of wine, and two shot glasses. In case he didn't want to drink, she's currently filling two glasses with water. Above the mantel of the fireplace are lurking two sugar plum faeries, which Carolina glances up at.
The name of the game, though, is to let him unwind and to grieve if he needs to. She's been in the military long enough to know that letting emotional releases out every now and then are healthy, even if she doesn't practice that herself.]
Looks fine!
Did you do all of this?
[No, Sherlock, it was the castle acting up again. He still looks kind of openmouthed as he takes it all in, though he does gravitate toward the drinks.]
You made it like a home.
no subject
[Directing her gaze over to him as she finishes filling up the second glass of water. The last thing he needs to see right now, or so she thinks, is a military-styled room, which would be her natural preference. She thinks he needs the assurance that she isn't planning to leave and that she's taking steps to see the Castle as a home.
Moving around the counter, she holds the two cups in both hands, padding softly across the hardwood in bare feet. She's literally at the most casual she could possibly be and, with the holographic lock and the now-reinforced door, she feels safe enough not being in her armor.]
no subject
He takes the glass of water and drinks deeply from it before setting it down and pouring both shots of whiskey. He hands one to her with a bit of a questioning look.]
This place is what we make of it. Sometimes I think I forget that it means that literally.
no subject
She takes a breath before knocking back the shot. Tastes like home, too. ]
I'm surprised it can do all this.
no subject
Usually gives you a lot of freedom with your own room. I know some people would leave it like a fancy hotel for months, but--you gotta do more than that, you know?
If it's going to take shit away from us, the least we can do is take advantage of what it does give us. [Otherwise it's just letting the place take things away without getting anything in return, and who would stand for that?]
no subject
I'm assuming it can't hear us complaining at it.
no subject
I always assume the worst. What's it going to do, turn me into a panda again?
--Everybody else got to be predators, and I had to be a goddamn panda.
no subject
[Because pfffff yeah he might be (possibly?) intimidating to others, but she's never been scared by him in the slightest.] A panda sounds about right.
no subject
I mean, okay, so poison dart frog for Wash isn't fearsome, but at least it eats something that's not bamboo.
[His eyes flicker over to Carolina. Yeah, she'd be a big feline of some type, probably. Definitely not a shark like Tex.]
no subject
And Delta?
no subject
But yeah, I kinda figure there's no way it's going to be worse than it already is, so. Might as well vent about it a little.
no subject
Go right ahead.
