[Over the past few days, York's been trying to keep calm. Kat's name had disappeared from the room she and Noble-Six had shared, and he's scoured the floors at least three or four times and made several filtered entries to her. Wash was being unresponsive as well--his nameplate was still there, thank God--but even York couldn't pick the lock. So today he's pounding on the door in the third floor hallway. Naturally, he doesn't seem to notice or care that his journal has opened.]

God dammit Wash, open up or I'll break the damn door down!

...Wish I could help you there, but as far as I know, there's not one head of the clinic or anything. I think you just sign up for shifts. Could be wrong, though.

Well, it's a sort-of colony. It's kinda hard to explain...

How do you get there?

Through the Stargate.

[He pauses, for a second] It's this big, ring-shaped device, 37 symbols on it. It can go to anywhere there's another gate, but it needs a lot of power to go to another galaxy.

[Which would seem a lot sillier to York if he hadn't heard about the Forerunner technology behind the portals.]

I bet. Man, if we'd discovered that in the twenty-first century, things would've been pretty different....

Sort of. [Carson grins] We're surviving. My memory's a bit patchy, though.

Uh...That armour, is it just armour, or some sort of bio-linked suit?

Little bit of both. The cybernetics are linked through a neural implant. Very useful.
