[Originally, Rookie had planned on spending the morning outside today to enjoy the fresh air, but decided against it when recalling the piles of leaves that were still littering the castle's grounds. Having no real interest in wasting the duration of his afternoon with plucking foliage out of his armor - as that usually tended to be how his evenings were spent once he returned indoors - the ODST could instead be found sprawled out in a nice little corner of Paradisa's lobby with the journal purposely propped open over his helmet.

Luckily for those listening, however, it wasn't snoring that was being transmitted over the pages today.]

Hey. Been meaning to bring this up, but I have some technology for you guys to check out. Grabbed it back when we all got separated during the expedition. Not sure if any of you would actually be interested in it though, seeing as a lot of it's broken, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to mention.

[Once that was said and done, Rookie gave a soft sigh before moving on to the next two filters. Since he may as well cover all his bases while he was doing the whole journal thing.]

[So he went from knowing a God of War to casually chatting away with a demon? That's... okay, he's not really sure what to think about that comment so Cole is getting a good bit of silence. Before there's finally a light sigh.]

Guess that would be a pretty good explanation on why you look so human.

[He leans against the wall, casually, his tone of voice not changing at all since this conversation began.]

[His tone keeps to a fairly humored level as he moves to stand up and fold his arms across his chest.]

But I suppose a 'good' demon isn't too far of a stretch when it comes to this place.

[Cole clears his throat, smiling lightly] Demons are always looking for their next kill, trying to get rid of as many good powers, as well as Innocents in their quest to make Evil the dominant power.

[He motions around himself] Do you see me rampaging?

No. [He stares at Cole thoughtfully, before shifting his weight and allowing a half-shrug.] But it's possible you up to something.

[Then a pause, before he's dropping his hands to his side.]

And I truthfully tend to put more faith in a person's actions than what comes out of their mouth, anyway.

Good policy. [Cole says, grinning. And it's a genuine smile. He always liked soldiers for their blunt honesty]

Well, then. Perhaps I can find a reason to prove myself. [A pause]

And at least you didn't go crazy on me. Is this place really that bad, that a demon can't get a honest human reaction?

[The last bit is obviously sarcastic.]

[Rookie simply shakes his head, laughing.]

[He smirks] Why would I plan anything against the residents here? I don't want to alienate any potential allies against this castle when it decides to mess with my head again.

[Cole then receives a shrug, but a well-mannered one. Even if he was a bit suspicious and naturally guarded around people he didn't know, Rookie still wasn't the type to come across as unfriendly without a reason to.]

Doesn't seem to stop other residents, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now.
