[Originally, Rookie had planned on spending the morning outside today to enjoy the fresh air, but decided against it when recalling the piles of leaves that were still littering the castle's grounds. Having no real interest in wasting the duration of his afternoon with plucking foliage out of his armor - as that usually tended to be how his evenings were spent once he returned indoors - the ODST could instead be found sprawled out in a nice little corner of Paradisa's lobby with the journal purposely propped open over his helmet.

Luckily for those listening, however, it wasn't snoring that was being transmitted over the pages today.]

Hey. Been meaning to bring this up, but I have some technology for you guys to check out. Grabbed it back when we all got separated during the expedition. Not sure if any of you would actually be interested in it though, seeing as a lot of it's broken, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to mention.

[Once that was said and done, Rookie gave a soft sigh before moving on to the next two filters. Since he may as well cover all his bases while he was doing the whole journal thing.]

[The second she answered, Rookie was already tugging that journal off his visor and sitting up. His voice sounding much clearer because of it, and though it took him a few seconds to actually find words to say, his tone still held a great deal more confidence than what he started out with.]

Uh, yeah. .. Kind of, I guess.

[His tone speaks volumes more than his words does. He doesn't sound completely and utterly exhausted as he did when Rookie had visited him awhile ago, but there's still a distinct lack of Ted's usual pep. It's just been a nasty week for him in general, what with the near-death experience, and then having to deal with the loss of a friend... It's all been downhill, really, and there just hasn't really been anything substantial to perk him up.]
