Going to assume that at least a handful of you had the presence of mind to collect samples from the portion of the tomb you explored. Of any type. Animal, vegetable, mineral, or otherwise.

I'd like to see them, if possible.

Should mention that I may want to experiment on some of them, and that I cannot promise that the samples would be returned in a comparable state to their present one. Would be willing to share my results, though, of course.

If you didn't bother to pick up any of the technology we found, ignore this.

Otherwise:
    ◦ What did you take?
    ◦ Is it functioning?
    ◦ Can I have a look?

[He does his hourly scan of the journal after that, which essentially amounts to rapid flipping and a lot of skipped entries. He's had a bit of excess energy since John forced him to "be reasonable" and "take care of his health."

So he dictates, cheerfully sarcastic (which is as close to regular cheerful as he's able to get, really):]

God forbid the lot of you talk about anything more engaging than the newest reason to stuff your faces.

[American Thanksgiving is kind of his worst nightmare. Who makes a holiday just to eat and socialize with family members? Terrifying.

"Dark meat" -- so called because of pigmentation created by high concentrations of myoglobin -- consists primarily of slow-twitch muscle fibers designed for extended exertion. Very useful for determining typical patterns of behavior in an unfamiliar specimen.

There, I've even kept to the theme. Next year you might even have something intelligent to deflect with when your host asks you how you like their sub-par cooking.

You're welcome.

Oh! Sorry...! It was a TARDIS, like the ones we got to the edge of the Dead Zone in. Only it looked a little different. Like it was older. The Doctor, he said it sounded like one that used to belong to someone else from his world...

sick of seein' me in your inbox yet? <3

Well ... it was in a room, all by itself - no other furniture, no nothin'. There was just a path worn into the carpet by whoever'd owned it, walking from the hallway to the TARDIS every day. The door wasn't as visible as the Doctor's - it was disguised as a column, like one of the ones from the Roman temples.

[he'll sketch one in (http://images.wikia.com/tardis/images/a/a7/St--5v41.jpg), for good measure]

The door was actually a push-latch, and the inside (http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_leugt5fwcz1qc8xfmo1_500.png) looked a lot older than the ones we have here. All black on the walls and the floor, with a lotta big round lights recessed into 'em, like a honeycomb. There was a console in the middle of the room, but it was a lot more ... industrial-looking than the Doctor's, less random stuff mounted to it. No snowglobes or tire pumps or any of that. And no extra furniture, either. Just ... the empty room and the console.

There was a door at the back that probably led off to other rooms, like the other TARDIS has ... but Junior wouldn't let me go any farther in. [pooh.]

YAAAAY

Nope. Well, on the outside, it was as old and dusty as the rest of the place... but the inside was in good shape. You'll have to ask the Doctor if that's normal, I don't know nearly as much about how a TARDIS works.

Oh yeah, absolutely! Let me know if there's anything else I can do.
