Going to assume that at least a handful of you had the presence of mind to collect samples from the portion of the tomb you explored. Of any type. Animal, vegetable, mineral, or otherwise.

I'd like to see them, if possible.

Should mention that I may want to experiment on some of them, and that I cannot promise that the samples would be returned in a comparable state to their present one. Would be willing to share my results, though, of course.

If you didn't bother to pick up any of the technology we found, ignore this.

Otherwise:
    ◦ What did you take?
    ◦ Is it functioning?
    ◦ Can I have a look?

[He does his hourly scan of the journal after that, which essentially amounts to rapid flipping and a lot of skipped entries. He's had a bit of excess energy since John forced him to "be reasonable" and "take care of his health."

So he dictates, cheerfully sarcastic (which is as close to regular cheerful as he's able to get, really):]

God forbid the lot of you talk about anything more engaging than the newest reason to stuff your faces.

[American Thanksgiving is kind of his worst nightmare. Who makes a holiday just to eat and socialize with family members? Terrifying.

Tap tap tap.]

"Dark meat" -- so called because of pigmentation created by high concentrations of myoglobin -- consists primarily of slow-twitch muscle fibers designed for extended exertion. Very useful for determining typical patterns of behavior in an unfamiliar specimen.

There, I've even kept to the theme. Next year you might even have something intelligent to deflect with when your host asks you how you like their sub-par cooking.

You're welcome.

[Bored tone incoming.]

Also called Red or Type I muscle fibers. Smallest diameter of the three types. Apart from rich myoglobin, they also contain the largest density of mitochondria, thus leading to their preference for oxidative respiration. Yummy.

Escapism. Talking about food, that is. I doubt humanity's changed much between when I lived and when you hail from.

Daisy Wick collected the corpse of one of the vampiric birds as well as samples from the bugs we encountered. She's going to dissect the bird, though I think you'd have to ask her and Dr. Brennan if you want it after that.

I took some samples during our expedition and I've already dissected some of the animals I brought back at Dr. Brennan's lab.

Very curious findings. For instance, the vampire birds don't decompose even after death.

Oh, excellent! Glad to see someone else was of a scientific mind throughout this whole thing. I do still have some of the spare parts that didn't fit the train ... a few stone samples ... a bit of what seems to have been a dessicated sandwich ... and a number of papers I retrieved from the subway's workroom. They weren't legible at the time, but I'm in the process of using the TARDIS' linguistic circuits to translate them. I'll be more than happy to share whatever I might find out with you.

I took a number of samples, as well as part of a tentacle of the giant octopus that was about. The tentacle was given to Ray Stanz, I'd done scans, myself, and gleaned what I could from it already. I'm in the process of testing the other samples I'd gotten, myself. Though, you're more than welcome to come by and take a look at them if you'd like.
