[So, back at the beginning of the month, Molotov and Brock discussed the fact that his cabin needs a bearskin rug.

Well, like any good consumer, Molotov has decided that she needs to weigh the options properly. But a little input from others never hurt, so she asks the journal.]

I cannot decide on a color. Tell me, what looks best on a rug: black or brown? It also appears that a light tan is an option, but it might not look appropriate in all seasons.

[And then there is some roaring in the background. This is because Molotov is currently standing on the front lawn, surrounded by bears. Just a whole bunch of bears. Grizzlies, black bears, honey bears. There's even a polar bear, though Molotov seems to not be considering that one as a rug, so much as a pet. All of the bears are chained to the ground, and they have muzzles, and Molotov seems to think that makes them safe enough to be petting as she feels their different fur qualities.]

Is anyone here an interior designer? I have a feeling that the largest size available might not be the best option as far as decor goes...

Well, of course I am going to wish for the rug, I do not have any experience in tanning animal hides. These [gestures at the bears] are because there are many variations in bear fur. I will have to be specific when I wish.

[Her expression changes to one of slight relief, and although she's still not eager about it, this beats the needless killing.]

Of course. [Daine's looking at the brown bear, studying the chains as it looks back.]

[Well, Molotov did originally want her boyfriend to kill the bear himself, but he said no.

With a suspicious squint, Molotov watches this girl study the chains.]

If you touch any of my bears, I will be forced to stab you. Just so you know.

[She scowls at Molotov as she's actually beginning to walk up the bear. There's no hesitation in her step as she arrives right next to it and begins to look it over.]

What do you think I'm going to do?

[molotov]

[Molotov lights a cigarette, and then unsheathes the katana she carries on her back.]

I do not care what you are going to do. But you will not do it with my bears. I wished for them.

Wished or not, they're living creatures. Do you know how to care for them?

[She's not angry, her question is a sincere one. Now she's scratching the bear behind the ears.]

I do not need to care for them, I am not keeping them. They will be going back to wherever they came from soon. Now hands off of my bear.

You're awfully possessive of something you have no intention of keeping.

Just because I am not going to keep them does not mean I am fine with other people nosing into my business and touching my things.

It would be different if they weren't living things.

Take your PETA nonsense elsewhere. Animals are still things that can be owned, and these bears are mine, just as a dog or a cat would be.

I don't know what PETA is, and I don't really need to. These bears aren't domesticated in the slightest.

Which is why they are muzzled and chained. An animal need not be domesticated to be owned.
