[Even as the ding of the elevator signals their arrival on the third floor, Kallen still doesn't wake from her nap as Rookie carries her piggyback out of the lift. She mumbles a bit, but ultimately stays unaware of her surroundings.

He belonged to a good friend before she left. I couldn't just let him loose, so he's staying here now. It's been a few months, though. [She meets Rookie's gaze, giving him a look that's both amused and apologetic.]

I'll make it up to you, then. Not because I owe you, but because I want to. [A slight smile appears.] Also, sorry I ended up falling asleep. I wasn't really the best company.

[She just scowls at him again, but lets the subject drop for the moment.]

You're good at the helping thing. [She reaches over to her bag and goes digging in it for something.]

[She nods in return.] Good.

[The bag searching stops as she debates for a moment. See Kallen move and wince a bit as it looks like she's attempting to scoot forward or maybe even stand.]

[When he's close enough, Kallen stands herself up on her leg that isn't broken and puts her arms around Rookie so she's balanced, but mainly so she can hug him. HUGS!!]
