[Backdated to the first group returning from the trip]
[Even as the ding of the elevator signals their arrival on the third floor, Kallen still doesn't wake from her nap as Rookie carries her piggyback out of the lift. She mumbles a bit, but ultimately stays unaware of her surroundings.
[With all the moving around, Kallen's starting to stir a little, but it's not until a sharp bark and growling is heard that she really comes around. Blinking, it takes her a bit to figure out what's going on, and even longer for her eyes to adjust.]
Koto, it's okay! [She shifts herself a little, careful not to disturb her ribs.] It's me, don't worry.
[There's a pause before she remembers what's going on.] Oh... you can put me down now.
He belonged to a good friend before she left. I couldn't just let him loose, so he's staying here now. It's been a few months, though. [She meets Rookie's gaze, giving him a look that's both amused and apologetic.]
I'll make it up to you, then. Not because I owe you, but because I want to. [A slight smile appears.] Also, sorry I ended up falling asleep. I wasn't really the best company.

How's the leg doing?

I really owe you now, huh?
no subject
And no, not really. [] Not the kind of person to expect a favor just because I helped a friend.

You don't need to apologize for something like that, Kallen. You were fine.
