[Galadriel (or Artanis, as she now thinks of herself) suddenly found herself in a room that was totally unfamiliar to her. What’s even stranger is that she had no memory of how she got there. She finds the journal fairly quickly and flips through it, but it does little to assuage her fears.

When she dictates, it’s not the calm, practiced dictation of Galadriel (although there are hints of it in there), but rather the voice of a frightened young girl, trying to sound far more intimidating than she is capable of being.]

I know not who brought me here, nor why, but know that my father and my brothers will not stand for this. I am Artanis, daughter of the High King Finarfin. If you release me immediately, they may be persuaded to show you mercy.

[With that she tucks the journal under her arm and sets out to explore, first the room she arrived in, and then the castle. Unlike on her initial exploration, however, her movements are slightly hesitant, timid, and more obviously marked by fear. ]

[ooc: She will be running into Rin in their shared room, I believe, but after that will be roaming the castle. Feel free to encounter the mini-elf or to answer her over the journal.]

This did. [ Technically. She's not going to go into explaining the whole science part because... what is Elven science? But the abnormality she did receive was a chance - they didn't even know what would happen ]

But that chance came through certain actions that I took - dangerous ones.

[At that there's a spark in her eyes and it rather betrays her ambitions. Dangerous actions sound just fine to her; she wants so badly to see the world, to do great deeds, to become as powerful as her father.]

Is it a tale worth the telling?

Less so than much of what my longevity has afforded me to see. [ Which is true. It was a long story of standing around and doing math, less exciting despite its danger ]

I would be glad to hear whatever you would tell me.

I understand that there are other beings in your world along with both Elves and Man?

It is similar in my world, although with far more species than you might imagine.

It sounds wondrous! Already I have seen so many more beings than yet exist in my own world. To think that there are more!

It certainly can be, yes. And there are far more than even I have seen, or read of. As much as I know my life is still simply beginning.

Someday I shall leave the Valinor and travel the lands that lie to the East. [Already at this young age she has her mind set on it.] Mayhaps then I will be able to speak of what I have seen.

I have a feeling that is quite the possibility. [ Galadriel was well travelled when she knew her. She wasn't quite certain of Valinor as one destination but travel all the same did occur ] Be certain to keep your eyes open.

My eyes are more open than most. [She just smiles at her own little joke.]

That I am aware. [ If you add your sight to it, most certainly. Also, I do believe they've reached the kitchen ] We're here. [ She's going to let you explore first ]

[Are you sure that is a good idea, Helen? Because you now have a little elf girl poking at microwave.]

Such a queer contraption...

[ Perfectly! She's just going to sit at the table and watch. Oh, to be pulled here and no have grown with technology... well, it had happened on her loss ]

A form of heating food.

[She's opening up the microwave and looking at it.] Without flame- much like the lights.

Electricity. Much here uses it. [ Yes, electricity in a castle ]

I do not understand it, but it seems a great boon.

There is one here whom you could ask of it. A friend of mine, Nikola Tesla. He understands it far greater than I. [ And she is aware of the... risk of sending Galadriel to him but she believes she can handle herself, and possibly come off better than him even now ]

You mentioned wi- requiring food. [ Careful working required in this place ] Do you know what it is that you'd like?

I will remember his name. [And then a little nod.] Fruit and bread will suffice, I think.

All right, then. [ She moves from the table in search first of thee bread and then the fruit, getting enough because... what fruit do they even have? before setting them, and a plate at the table. As for herself? She'll be making a cup of tea. Yes? ]

[And she'll just seat herself at the table, not eating yet, though.] Thank you. You have been most kind to me.

Think nothing of it. I'm quite enjoying speaking with you, actually. [ It was an interesting insight, even if she'd mention nothing of it after it ended. And with her cup in hand she'll join you again at the table ]

[And that was what she was waiting for. She starts eating in the delicate manner of one raised at court.]

And I with you. It comforts me to know that I am not alone here.

Even when those that you share this space with are strange to you? [ She takes a sip of her tea. She doubted thhat would matter all too much, given how curious (and particularly culturally curious) she was ]

Strange they may be, but kind and generous. If I am to be separated from all I know, I should prefer it to be in the company of those such as yourself. [A bite and a pause for thought.] And though all here are strange to me, I am not strange to all. There is one here who knows of me and my kinsmen, though I know him not. [Poor Elrond.]

[ She smiles. Oh, having the ability to make her blush even thousands of years younger? Cruel lady ] Lord Elrond. I've heard of him since his arrival here but have not yet had the fortune of meeting him. [ But she has heard much of him, which is indicated ]
