⌠ FILTER: AWAY FROM FIRST GENS ⌡
Clark says the castle's officially given everyone the boot. Considering how cold it's getting, since Autumn hasn't wasted any time, I'd be remiss if I didn't offer my place to anyone who needs a warm place to sleep tonight. If you have nowhere else to go, just let me know here and I'll make space for you.
The floor may not be very comfortable, but it's probably better than a pile of leaves. I also have a puppy, so if you have allergies... You've been warned.
Depending on how long this castle lock-out lasts, training might need to be postponed. That is, if you're opening up your house to to your friends.

I don't know if you two have any other plans, but you're obviously welcome to stay at my place for as long as you need. You can have Chloe's old room.
And... You both help the Peace Patrol. Where are the prisoners? Were they evicted, too?

[Lana]
[Good thing he can't see her!]
I have a feeling that you're going to give it, regardless.
[Wesley]
I don't really know what happened between the three of you, but... If you want her to trust you, then you need to make it very clear to her that she's the only one you want to be with.
You have to be willing to make sacrifices. And I may not know Lilah personally, but I'll be blunt and say I don't think you'll lose much if you spend less time worrying about her. She clearly looks out for herself.
[Lana]
She knows how I feel about her. Maybe at the housewarming she didn't, but she does now.
You're right, Lilah does take care of herself. But it was my fault I didn't suspect something sooner. I thought she'd been cheating on me, letting a vampire feed on her willingly. And I did nothing to dig further into what was really going on with her. She tried to tell me. But she couldn't because of the compulsion. So excuse me if I still feel some responsibility for her wellbeing.
[There's a long pause and a sigh.]
She doesn't have anyone else to turn to, Lana. Like Damon, she's not exactly seen as a people person.
[Wesley]
After I stuck my neck out for her on the ship and Stefan attacked me, she ran off. I had no way of knowing that Damon would show up, and neither did she. She knew I was as good as dead, and she didn't tell a single soul. She didn't warn anyone, or try to find help for me.
Did that ever occur to you?
[Lana]
I didn't know the specifics of the attack on the ship, actually. But that sounds like how she would respond.
What do you expect me to say? That she's not an altruistic person? That for her, self-interest comes first? I know that, Lana.
What is your point?
[Wesley]
If she's so good at taking care of herself, why can't she stay at Caritas?
[Lana]
I haven't extended any invitations yet, who knows who will ask to stay.
Believe me, I have no intention of hurting Fred. But she's stronger than you think. She can handle herself with Lilah.
You've said your piece, now can we please just drop the subject?
[Wesley]
[ If by British you mean MALE, yes she certainly does remember... ]
Fine, I'll drop it. I said what I wanted to. And I'm still coming over, so expect me in five.
[Lana]
[Although he wishes he was, since he suspects there will be more lecturing once she arrives. He goes to do some flustered-tidying. Women and their meddling.]

Wesley? You better let me in, I still have a key!
no subject
Why wouldn't I let you in?
[He has opened the door, of course, but he still gives her a manly scowl before stepping aside.]

[ Despite the cranky greeting, she keeps her smile on her face as she steps inside and pushes the large bag into his arms. ]
Here. If you're going to have guests staying over, your kitchen needs to stop screaming 'bachelor' so loudly. I bet you barely re-stocked after you ran out of the food from the housewarming party.
no subject
[He protests, eyeing the bag with bemusement. He's not used to people bringing him large quantities of food simply because.]
What's this?
[Heading into the kitchen, he sets the bag on a counter and starts to peer at its contents.]
I restocked...a bit.
[Which means not much at all. He practically lives on tea and toast.]
no subject
Mm hmm.
Well, I'm sure we'll both be doing plenty more shopping before this is over. That should at least keep you stocked for the night.
[ She's moving beside him to pull everything out for him to put away so she can take that bag back and head for the patio. He did say she could help herself to his garden, and she's holding him to it. ]
Damon's not thrilled that you know where his brother's going to be kept. I know you won't abuse the knowledge, but he seems to actually be worried.
no subject
He's already made it clear he wants no aid in keeping his brother under control. Does he believe I'll hunt Stefan down? Make some kind of pre-emptive strike? He did threaten to snap Fred's neck if I tried anything against him or his friends and family.
[Of course, should Stefan go on a rampage, Wes will not hesitate to try to bring him down. With lethal force if necessary.
Wes goes to fetch the spare boxes of special ammo and then joins her out in the garden.]
no subject
When Wesley joins her, she glances over to him, seeming calm again. ]
It's nothing but an empty threat. He might be impulsive, but he's had enough time to think our deal through. Damon knows if he does anything like that, not only will a lot of people make him pay, but I'll give up on him for good.
...For some reason I guess that matters to him.
[ A shrug as she sets the bag down to peer at what Wesley's brought. ]
How many of those do you have?
no subject
[It's Wes' turn to go all papa-chan on her. Sorry.]
I have six boxes. You may have three.
no subject
[ She even has the grace to look annoyed as she reaches out to take two instead. She already has two back home. ]
Now we both have four. Even Steven.
