[Someone seems awfully grumpy, but at least he's alive and still here, right?]

...It seems the castle decided to let me have an extended nap, and it looks like I've missed a few weeks in the process. Anyone care to give a summary?

Indeed, quite a bit has occurred the last few weeks, not only pertaining to the Patrol but other things as well. If you have questions do feel free to ask them of me, I will answer what I can.

I see that legal proceedings for the prisoners have finally been put in motion, and that Riful's gone home. And I've been informed of Deathwing's arrival, the incident with Roy Harper in the Dead Zone, and something about ice cream. Anything else noteworthy that you can think of?

A number of the castles younger residents went on a loss wherein they turned into juvenile delinquents, a few were put into prison or their rooms for the duration of it. And shortly after the rooms of the residents turned into representations of their minds, and they were open to everyone.

...I see. A busy month, then, not that there's any other kind here.

Indeed, as well as, the usual smattering of losses I would think. It has kept things, interesting at the very least.

You have seen how things have been organized as of late concerning trials. [He's not sure on how to approach this one but he figures he has to ask.] What are your feelings concerning power repression?

[There's a hint of something like eagerness in his tone.] ...Can it be made permanent? Or permanent until it's removed by whoever applied it?

[He hates you right now Yuan, but he hides it in his voice.] If the powers of those who would have them repressed are, similar to those with whom I understand and know then yes, it would be a permanent solution. Assuming they work from the level that I understand.

...But not reversible. [His tone is grim, a little disappointed now.] It would be a good consequence if it could be removed, but...if it's truly permanent, it should be used only in the most extreme cases. Even assuming it would work on them at all. [As someone with powers himself, Yuan's reluctant to inflict the fate of living without them on anyone unless there really is no other way to neutralize the threat.]

Depends on how it was administered, and if I built a safeguard into it. [Because he has the same feeling Yuan, his own ability is subtle but going on without it? He would feel very off.] I know it would be permanent, though if done properly and with the proper aide, I could, perhaps, make it so it was reversible. [Sadly by Helen's time Nikola was still devamped and he was unaware of any way to reverse it.] It is not an option I suggest lightly however, though Ms. Haruno asked it of me in our own conversation.

...I don't want 'perhaps'. I don't want to be accidentally responsible for permanently depriving someone of a part of themselves. Unless you're absolutely certain it can be removed, this is a consequence to be reserved only for those who can't be dealt with any other way.

I would feel more comfortable with that as well. You need not remind me what is at stake here. On my own I can only guarantee perhaps, with the aide of someone in the realm of designing weapons that perhaps can go up to a more resounding probable, and with a third more then likely a yes, it will be reversible. [One of those two he can see recruiting the other? Not so much.]

However I understand fully your reservations concerning this. I would not even feel comfortable having the, device or drug prepared unless it was needed, to insure, accidents do not occur if it is not reversible. [Nor even having the knowledge in his head with telepaths lurking about but that is a concern for another time.]

In that case, consider all the resources of the Patrol at your disposal to figure out a way to make it temporary. Consequences for wrongdoing is one of our biggest issues right now, anything we can do to add more options to the list is worth pursuing.

There are some I do know however would not take kindly to this, no matter the duration. I also know of one case where in repressing his vampiric nature brought about another set of, previously hidden abilities.

But I will remember that and see what I can do to find a way to make this, temporary. I also have some, experience designing enclosures for those with abilities, if you need aide in that regard.

It's a punishment, they're not supposed to like it. Although the extra abilities thing certainly bears looking into.

As far as containment, you'll want to talk to- [Wait. We can't send people to Tony anymore for this stuff.] ...I need to find a new candidate for best engineer in the castle. I'll get back to you on that.

No they are not however certain, individuals can cause more of an issue with repressed abilities then with them. And it does, and I can do that with access to Nikola Tesla, he is the case I know of.

And very well then, my offer stands and do let me know with whom to discuss it with. I know something of engineering however my knowledge in that regard is, small compared to others I am certain.

Right. Just be sure to keep him from acting out, and I'll keep you posted for the rest.
