Route A: Chilling

[Percy is sitting on the deck with his legs dangling off the side of the ship. His eyes are half-closed as he enjoys the sea. This is by far the best thing that's happened in Paradisa. He doesn't even mind being thought of as a pirate. He'll gladly talk to any shipmates who happen to pass by]

Oh, I forgot! Hey, Violet! You doing okay? I didn't see you around so I'm guessing you're on another boat or something.

I know, I know. Doesn't mean it isn't in my nature to worry. And I will try my hardest. [Which never helps.]

[chuckle] I promise.

[Not that he can see it, but she is smiling. First time since she's been on this boat.] Okay, well I'll let you get back to high seas. I'm sure you were doing something terribly adventurous.

I usually am.

[She laughs at that.] I know. I suppose I am as well. Though I definitely miss the days of doing nothing. I think it's been awhile since I've done that.

Maybe we'll have some downtime after all this is over.

That'd be nice. I heard there's a pond or lake or something near the castle.

Yeah, there is! There are lots of cool places to go. Like a game room, and the movie theater, and there's a Season Room that switches between a beach and a snowy place.

I'll have to explore more of the castle. I've not seen a film since Zombies in the Snow, which I am sure is probably outdated for you. Very outdated. Though I'm not partial to snow nor beaches. Bad memories for both.

I've... never heard of it, but I'd love to see it! We should see if the castle has it!

Yeah? [She sounds so excited at that.] I'm warning you, it's an old film. Even by my standards, so I'm not sure if you'll like it. It's good though. Zombies. And there's actually a code written through the whole thing. I just found this out not long ago. Every thirteenth word. It's called the Sebald Code after Gustov Sebald, the director.

..Really? [that sounds more like Annabeth's thing, so he'll make a note of it]

Hey, sometimes the old films are the really good ones. Or at least, that's what my mom says.

It's pretty interesting. I'd like to see it now that I know the code.

I'm sure whatever you consider old is probably futuristic for me.

Oh. Yeah. [heh] We should probably steer clear of any movies about pirates, huh?

I'm not that fragile.

Ooh. Sorry. You know I'm lousy at those.

[yes he did notice that] Then the first movie we're watching is a comedy.

I can go for that. With popcorn?

Of course. Hope you like extra butter.
