Route A: Chilling

[Percy is sitting on the deck with his legs dangling off the side of the ship. His eyes are half-closed as he enjoys the sea. This is by far the best thing that's happened in Paradisa. He doesn't even mind being thought of as a pirate. He'll gladly talk to any shipmates who happen to pass by]

Oh, I forgot! Hey, Violet! You doing okay? I didn't see you around so I'm guessing you're on another boat or something.

No, but my mom and I would go to the beach for the summer.

Heh. Sounds like my mother and myself, though our beaches were the banks of rivers.

Rivers are good, too. Though the sea is the best.

Why do you say that?

_{[He takes a seat beside him, going to tuck his robes in, but belatedly remembers they are not there to be tucked in.]}

Because... I don't know, I just feel most at home on the sea.

Fair enough. It is beautiful, the ocean.

It is much different from the river.

[chuckles] No kidding.

I know there is an ocean in my world, but my land is to far inland for us to be overly concerned with it.

I live on an island back in my world, so I get to to see the ocean a lot.

And island? Really? I would never have guessed.

It's a pretty big island.

An island with a city on it then? Like a port?

Yeah, I think it started out that way.

Yeah. Back when it was first founded. But that was like a hundred years ago.

A young island city it is then.

Not... really.

You said it was only one hundred or so.

Not literally a hundred.

Oh. I had not realized you spoke in the metaphoric.

Uh. Yeah, sometimes.
