Elena and I are no longer together and I seem to have ended up in another dimension. Caroline and Damon are both here. Caroline craves more than she did back in Mystic Falls and Damon seems to have regressed from the progress he had made in the past few months. After learning about what losses are I've discovered mine. I can't drink animal blood. I've been curbing my blood intake thanks to Caroline. I've kept Damon out of the loop. He doesn't need to know. I have everything under control. A part of me wishes Elena were here while the other part of me is grateful she has her freedom. Freedom from me. Perhaps she's safe. Hopefully. I can't shake the feeling that nothing will ever be the same.

Damon continues his low profile. Passing along information regarding Rose. Stay away from her for now, until I can get more information.

[ It's late to help and he's very confused, anyway. All he knows is this involves a loss. ]

Or, is that what's called a loss?

[ Later on, Stefan spends some time in the lobby, reading old posts. He's fed, so being around people shouldn't be difficult. He's also sick of his room and hasn't gotten the memo that he can style it how he wants. He's currently catching up with what's going on around the castle. Feel free to bug the brooding ~~vampire~~. ]

Maybe I am. [ He seriously wouldn't be surprised, Caroline. Also, he's heading up to your room. ] Have you read about the band of vampires?

Yeah, I saw that. [Who do you think she is, Stefan? She soaks up gossip like a sponge]

Apparently, it's a loss. If you ask me, their loss is our gain. [ Like the pun? Taking the stairs now. ]

I'm on your floor. [ Translation, just in case this isn't private, he's expecting a blood bag behind closed doors. He speeds up, making his way down the hall. ]

Okay. [She goes to the cooler in her room (which is covered with a large piece of fabric to hide it) to pull out ONE blood bag]

[ Knock, knock, knock. Stefan stands, his journal under his arm. ]

[She opens the door for him with a smile, holding up a blood bag and waving it a bit] Looking for this?

And you. [ He's not using you. Just grateful. And he'll step inside without taking it. There's time for that. He glances around the room. Oh, he hadn't paid attention to it before. ] We can design our rooms?

[She closes the door behind her, nodding as she glances around. Her room has been redesigned to look more her style, girly and sweet, and nice]

Hanging in there? [ Look, small talk needs to happen. She's not a blood whore. It's just...awkward small talk. ]

I'm fine, Stefan. [Just really, really bored.] I want to go home but since that's not happening, I'm just doing whatever.

Have you thought about working?

Yeah, I guess so.

Are you really okay? You - you can tell me.

[She shrugs, moving to sit cross-legged on her bed] I don't like that we've been kidnapped. I don't like that back home Elena could be sacrificed. I don't know if Tyler is okay. Or if Bonnie can do all of it without us.

[ He moves to lean against her dresser. ]

I'm worried too. I may not look it or mention it but I'm terrified. Weeks of time are happening that I'm not aware of. But, we can't let how terrified we are get in the way of -

[ But, what were they doing? What could they do? Live? They couldn't let that get in the way of them living? ]

I'm sorry this is happening. I hate it.
