[ Like his brother, Stefan can read. But unlike his brother he does not take any of this at face value. He is not happy. In fact, he sounds downright testy. ]

The name Paradisa is Greek in origin. It means garden or orchard. It’s fitting, ending up here. Oh, and Katherine, if this is your elaborate way of influencing my mind, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. Elena and I may not be together but I will never love you again. You will never understand mine or anybody’s idea of paradise. You only serve yourself and if Damon didn’t entomb you I will find you and do it myself.

This isn’t funny, Katherine!

If in fact, this is not a fabrication of my mind and I just yelled everything to complete strangers as it says I would’ve, I apologize. And if I am talking to myself…

Lost objects?

Sometimes. Every person who ends up here looses something important. It can be something tangible, or it can be a memory or ability. [No, she's not going to share what her loss is.]

Every person? Human and vampire?

Every being, no matter what species they may be.

You don't arrive here aware of it, do you?

Convenient.

Pretty much. From what I've gathered, some people never figure out their losses.

This just keeps getting better and better.

And sometimes, people go on temporary losses. Which can range from being turned into an animal to believing you're a totally different person.

The castle does everything inherently inconvenient.

Well, except for the whole granting wishes thing. But I have a feeling all the other stuff is our payment for that.
