[And once again, it is noon on meeting day in Patrol headquarters. There's a big open meeting room space, tables in the middle, a projector on the ceiling, computers in the walls. It is shiny, high-tech, clean, and full of a lot more people than last time. Yuan is already here before anyone else arrives, getting papers laid out and shuffled around. He seems tense, but satisfied. Things are finally coming together.]

[oh my god, it's... the hyper one? This is what came before her Doctor? He's... not half bad looking, he just looks so... different. Sounds so different, too. She puts on some flippancy so she won't gawp]

Oh yeah? And why is that?

[he gestures at the room] Planning, protecting, participating...lots of Ps, there. S'pose that's fitting. Peace Patrol and all. Right! Getting involved.

From everything I've heard about you, this is exactly where I'd imagine you'd be. And so you are.

[for an instant, self-consciousness flashes across her face before it's gone and she tosses her hair over her shoulder]

They better have been good things.

Oh, the best. A pleasure, Amy Pond. A pleasure indeed.

[again, her answering smile is very faintly self-conscious]

I should be the one saying that.

Well, you're certainly welcome to. I am rather brilliant. [a bit of a wink]

[definitely the same man. They're both full of it, in an annoyingly endearing way. Amy rolls her eyes fondly]

You're definitely a better dresser.

[that gets a grin] I do look quite good in a suit. And that bow tie...

Ah, but, I suppose we've got bigger matters to attend to, yeah? [nodding to the gathering]

Leave? [he blinks] Just when things are getting interesting? No need to rush off.

[though he is moving to be closer to the group.]

I meant to go sit down.

[as she moves with him]

Ah, right. I suppose we should. Dont' want to keep anyone waiting, after all.

Have you got a thing for being punctual, then?

[scratching the back of his neck] Punctual? I don't know about punctual. Thing about time travel, it's all a bit variable, being on time. Wibbly wobbly, you see. But it seems a bit foolish to keep them waiting if we're here already.

[she relaxes ever-so-slightly. Maybe it's not just a thing her Doctor does]

Yeah. Foolish. Well, Doctor, it was very nice to meet you.
