[There is a small bouquet of roses outside your door, delivered via castle ghost-no note or anything. Do with them as you will; she has made her point. And yes, she's perfectly aware that your room was invaded recently; it's why she figures you'll be keeping an eye on it.]

[One of the few benefits of this place was the borrowed time with her granddaughter. So, it should be no surprise that Galadriel once again finds herself wandering up to Arwen's room. When she gets there, however, she is met by a blank name plate.

She just stares for a moment, waves of emotion washing over her- sorrow, relief, anxiety about what Arwen will face in their own world. Eventually, she opens the journal and dictates in a voice devoid of sentiment; whatever she's feeling, she's not about to broadcast it to the entire castle.]

The Lady Arwen Undómiel has been returned to her home. [There's a long pause] It is for the best. I would like to personally extend my gratitude to all who showed her hospitality and kindness while she was here. I cannot thank you enough for making her stay a little less trying.

[And now you can find her under Alexstrasza's tree, ~~brooding~~ thinking. Bother her if you want, but she's feeling a little melancholy.]

Mmm. I bet you miss him. And I get it. I'm the only one from my world here. And it's weird because... I want my brothers and sisters to come, because I miss them, but I don't want them to come because this place is seriously bad news.

[ she takes another nature valley bar out of her jacket.. and then yet another! haha, free food is one of the few things she loves about this place ]

Do you want one?

[Yeah, that's pretty much what she's been sitting here thinking about in regards to Arwen.]

Do you have many siblings?

[But now she's just kind of giving those bars a weird look. Processed food, what is this?]

May I ask what exactly it is?

Oh, um, right, you probably don't have these where you come from. It's a Nature Valley bar! These are peanut butter flavoured. It's made from... [ she looks at the package ] ...whole grain oats, sugar, canola oil, peanuts, salts, yellow corn flour, and some other stuff.

[ YUMMY RIGHT? she offers it, before turning to her other question ]

Yeah... I guess five counts as a lot, right? Three brother and two sisters. [ a little smile ]

[She has no idea what peanut butter is either...but she'll accept it so as not to be rude.] My thanks.

[A small smile in return.] I had four brothers.

[ lol. nudge just grins, and starts eating hers. ]

Four brothers? And no sisters? Wow... I don't think I could handle that many! Needs some girls to balance things out, right? I mean, I love them and all, but brothers can be such a huge pain in the neck, especially when... they...

[ she swallows, and trails off, only belatedly realising that galadriel had used the past tense. oh, no... :( ]

[For her part, Galadriel seems fairly untroubled by the topic. It is a very old wound and she can talk about her brothers without much pain.]

Indeed, but I assure you, I gave them an equal amount of trouble.

[ she laughs a little uncomfortably ] Well... that's good!

[ a pause. she's not sure what to say, and is just sort of mentally hitting herself for having a big mouth ]

[And she'll just address this since it's getting awkward.]

Please do not concern yourself over me; you have said nothing wrong. What came to pass was millennia ago. I remember my brothers with fondness and it does me no harm to speak of them.

[ she kind of rubs her face, and smiles a little ]

If you say so... I'm still really sorry, though. For bringing it up. Max is always telling me that I should think before I open my big mouth but, haha, it's kind of hard to remember when I wait did you say millennia?!

[ her attention span is so bad. :( also, now her eyes are wide in surprise ]

You could not have known. And to my recollection, it was I who brought it up.

[She laughs] I did. Am I to surmise that there are no elves in your world, then?

[ she's making an :O face now. omigosh! ]

You're an elf! Of course! It totally makes sense. You're really pretty, you seem really smart, I bet if you stood you'd be really tall, and-- [ she squints, looking past her hair ] the ears! [ haha, she looks so excited ]

You're the first elf that I've met in person. Omigosh... [ she has so many questions, oh god ] Nope, there aren't any elves in my world. Everyone's all normal and boring!

[The only possible response to that is to laugh again. Girl, you have wings; you can't talk about normal and boring.]

I must say, it is not often that I receive such a reaction.

[ psssh, it's not exciting when you were cooked up in a petri dish. galadriel on the other hand is completely real! au naturel! ]

Are you serious? What kind of reaction do people have, then? On Earth, where I come from, there are all sorts of books and movies and TV shows that have elves in them, and they're always like, the coolest characters. And the prettiest.

To begin with, it is very rare indeed that I would be the first elf a human encountered. It is perhaps less exciting to meet an elf when you have had prior dealings with them.

[Nope, it's the incredibly beautiful and psychic parts that startle people more than the elf part.]

Oh, right. [ scratches her nose ] People in your world are probably used to seeing people like you. [ ... ] Well, not exactly like you, but you know what I mean! And I dunno, I'd probably be excited every time I met a new elf, but that's just me. To be able to live for so long...

Are you a High Elf too?

[That question will never stop surprising her.]

The term is not one used often in my world, but yes, I am.

May I ask who first identified themselves as such?

Shoulda known... [ so regal, galadriel :3 ]

[ and at that, she frowns a little ]

Oh... it was this guy named Krasus. He seems nice.. ish...

[ she doesn't know what to think about him. he is apparently a dragon?? and dragon AND an elf?? and may or may not have manipulated jade's group?? buuut he still saved her life?? feelings are hard ]

[But the name makes her smile. She really respects and likes him.]

Ah, Lord Krasus, of course. You are fortunate to know him.

He is not of my world; I do not know what he may mean by the term.

[Fff. She doesn't know he's a dragon yet. And she's just as prone to manipulation (for the greater good) as he is, so...]

[ she shrugs ]

I just thought he meant like... really important elves or something. Leader elves, or whatever.

I've only talked to him a couple of times. What's he like?

[She shakes her head]

In my world, High Elves are those who dwelt in the Undying Lands and saw the light of the Two Trees ere they were destroyed. Thus, I am counted among them while my husband is not, though we are of equal status.

I am sure you have already discovered that he has an air of mystery about him. He is wise and powerful, I may tell you that much.

[ she processes that. most of it goes over her head ]

What are the Undying Lands?

Yeah... that's true. Mysterious, wise, powerful... that sounds about right. [ she shrugs again, still looking a bit frowny ] I guess I'll talk to him some more, at some point.

[She rather expected that. It's pretty particular to her world.]

Across the seas from Middle-Earth lie the ancient home of my people and the dwellings of the Valar, those whom men call gods. The land there is unfading and timeless.

I also find him pleasant company, but the very old oft hold more interest for each other than the young.

Sooo... [ she tries to understand ] It's really old... it always stays the same, and gods and stuff live there? [ pause ] So it's like heaven?

[ giggle ] I guess so! Is he thousands of years old too?

[Yes. Yes it is. It's metaphorical elf heaven/Eden. But heaven is a new concept for her, so you'll have to forgive her.]

From what I understand of the concept, there are certainly similarities. However, those who dwell there need not have passed on.

[She chuckles] I have not asked, though I would not be surprised.

[ :O she looks impressed ]

Wow... so you can go to heaven... or a heavenish place... without being dead? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. Do only elves and those Valor people live there?

I can ask him, if you want! It's rude to ask a lady her age, but you can do it to guys all you want. They don't mind. [ she winks and gives a thumbs up, lol. this child. ]
