[There is a small bouquet of roses outside your door, delivered via castle ghost-no note or anything. Do with them as you will; she has made her point. And yes, she's perfectly aware that your room was invaded recently; it's why she figures you'll be keeping an eye on it.]

[One of the few benefits of this place was the borrowed time with her granddaughter. So, it should be no surprise that Galadriel once again finds herself wandering up to Arwen's room. When she gets there, however, she is met by a blank name plate.

She just stares for a moment, waves of emotion washing over her- sorrow, relief, anxiety about what Arwen will face in their own world. Eventually, she opens the journal and dictates in a voice devoid of sentiment; whatever she's feeling, she's not about to broadcast it to the entire castle.]

The Lady Arwen Undómiel has been returned to her home. [There's a long pause] It is for the best. I would like to personally extend my gratitude to all who showed her hospitality and kindness while she was here. I cannot thank you enough for making her stay a little less trying.

[And now you can find her under Alexstrasza's tree, ~~brooding~~ thinking. Bother her if you want, but she's feeling a little melancholy.]

[Fff. Galadriel is getting very used to this reaction. She just smiles graciously.]

You are very kind to say so. [She places a hand on the tree, almost fondly.] I often make my way here when the weather is pleasant. My home is in a forest; I find this more to my liking than walls of cold stone.

I say so 'cause it's true! I like your hair. It's so... shimmerylike.

[ she moves a little bit closer. she can't help but be a little fascinated. this lady looks like someone out of a movie, and she doesn't seem to care that nudge is a winged freak that jumps from trees, so... ]

You live in a forest? Really? What's it like?

[That's a new description...] My thanks.

I do. I live in the great city of Caras Galadhon in Lothlórien, my Golden Woods. We build our home within the branches of the great Mallorn trees, which provide protection as well as a view most fair. [And now with her granddaughter gone, she's feeling a bit homesick.]

You're welcome.

[ those are a lot of words that she doesn't know ] Your woods? Are you a duchess or a princess or something? You look like you could be royalty. I think I'd like to live in the woods, in a big tree-house or something. It'd be so cool... The trees where you live must be really huge, if everybody can build their houses in the branches. What's your world called?

[ she sits in the grass, and takes a bite of the nature valley bar :x ]

[Oh my God, child, slow down. After the few seconds it takes her to process all of that, she'll respond.]

Forgive me for not introducing myself. I am Galadriel, Lady of Lothlórien and the Galadhrim. [So, yes, royalty. Sort of.]

My world is called Middle-Earth, or Arda, in the tongue of my people.

[ ;; she only has one speed, and it's blahblahblah. she listens attentively to that ]

Galadriel. [ tests how it sounds on her tongue ] I've never heard a name like that before, but it's fun to say. What does it mean? Oh, and it's nice to meet you, Galadriel from Middle-Earth! You can call me Nudge.

Is there an Upper-Earth and a Lower-Earth?

[Such a strange child.]

Well met, Nudge. It means "crowned with a radiant garland." My husband bestowed the name upon me in my youth, after the manner in which I wore my hair in those days.

[She chuckles] No, there is not.

[ the weirdest. and that answer practically puts stars in her eyes *__* she loves pretty names ]

That's so romantic, oh my gosh... And that's officially the prettiest name in the world. What's your husband like?

[ still eating. and watching you like this +__+ ]

[You are either going to cheer her up or make her very homesick and she's not sure which. She answers softly, the slightest hint of a fond smile playing at her lips.]

He is wise beyond all measure, valiant when he need be, slower to laugh than I yet just as warm when he does.

[Yep. Thousands of years later and she's still in love.]

That's so sweet... He sounds kinda like someone I know, actually! The quiet wise types always turn out to be the best. [ ffff big bro ]

Oh, um... sorry if I'm being nosy and all! You can tell me to get lost if you want. [ sheepish ]

Not at all. In truth, it does my heart well to speak of such things.

[ cupping her cheek in her hand. she's glad she's not a bother ]

Mmm. I bet you miss him. And I get it. I'm the only one from my world here. And it's weird because... I want my brothers and sisters to come, because I miss them, but I don't want them to come because this place is seriously bad news.

[ she takes another nature valley bar out of her jacket.. and then yet another! haha, free food is one of the few things she loves about this place ]

[Yeah, that's pretty much what she's been sitting here thinking about in regards to Arwen.]

Do you have many siblings?

[But now she's just kind of giving those bars a weird look. Processed food, what is this?]

May I ask what exactly it is?

Oh, um, right, you probably don't have these where you come from. It's a Nature Valley bar! These are peanut butter flavoured. It's made from... [ she looks at the package ] ...whole grain oats, sugar, canola oil, peanuts, salts, yellow corn flour, and some other stuff.

[ YUMMY RIGHT? she offers it, before turning to her other question ]

Yeah... I guess five counts as a lot, right? Three brother and two sisters. [ a little smile ]

[She has no idea what peanut butter is either...but she'll accept it so as not to be rude.] My thanks.

[A small smile in return.] I had four brothers.

[ lol. nudge just grins, and starts eating hers. ]

Four brothers? And no sisters? Wow... I don't think I could handle that many! Needs some girls to balance things out, right? I mean, I love them and all, but brothers can be such a huge pain in the neck, especially when... they...

[ she swallows, and trails off, only belatedly realising that galadriel had used the past tense. oh, no... :( ]

[For her part, Galadriel seems fairly untroubled by the topic. It is a very old wound and she can talk about her brothers without much pain.]

Indeed, but I assure you, I gave them an equal amount of trouble.

[ she laughs a little uncomfortably ] Well... that's good!

[ a pause. she's not sure what to say, and is just sort of mentally hitting herself for having a big mouth ]

[And she'll just address this since it's getting awkward.]

Please do not concern yourself over me; you have said nothing wrong. What came to pass was millennia ago. I remember my brothers with fondness and it does me no harm to speak of them.

[ she kind of rubs her face, and smiles a little ]

If you say so... I'm still really sorry, though. For bringing it up. Max is always telling me that I should think before I open my big mouth but, haha, it's kind of hard to remember when I wait did you say millennia?!

[ her attention span is so bad. :( also, now her eyes are wide in surprise ]

You could not have known. And to my recollection, it was I who brought it up.

[She laughs] I did. Am I to surmise that there are no elves in your world, then?

[ she's making an :O face now. omigosh! ]

You're an elf! Of course! It totally makes sense. You're really pretty, you seem really smart, I bet if you stood you'd be really tall, and-- [ she squints, looking past her hair ] the ears! [ haha, she looks so excited ]

You're the first elf that I've met in person. Omigosh... [ she has so many questions, oh god ] Nope, there aren't any elves in my world. Everyone's all normal and boring!

[The only possible response to that is to laugh again. Girl, you have wings; you can't talk about normal and boring.]

I must say, it is not often that I receive such a reaction.

[ psssh, it's not exciting when you were cooked up in a petri dish. galadriel on the other hand is completely real! au naturel! ]

Are you serious? What kind of reaction do people have, then? On Earth, where I come from, there are all sorts of books and movies and TV shows that have elves in them, and they're always like, the coolest characters. And the prettiest.

To begin with, it is very rare indeed that I would be the first elf a human encountered. It is perhaps less exciting to meet an elf when you have had prior dealings with them.

[Nope, it's the incredibly beautiful and psychic parts that startle people more than the elf part.]
