[Kaito]
It has been long since last we spoke. How have you fared?

[Felix]
You need not answer me if it will be difficult for you. However, it would put my heart at ease to hear how you have fared since last we met.

[Deathwing]
[There is a small bouquet of roses outside your door, delivered via castle ghost-no note or anything. Do with them as you will; she has made her point. And yes, she's perfectly aware that your room was invaded recently; it's why she figures you'll be keeping an eye on it.]

[One of the few benefits of this place was the borrowed time with her granddaughter. So, it should be no surprise that Galadriel once again finds herself wandering up to Arwen's room. When she gets there, however, she is met by a blank name plate.

She just stares for a moment, waves of emotion washing over her- sorrow, relief, anxiety about what Arwen will face in their own world. Eventually, she opens the journal and dictates in a voice devoid of sentiment; whatever she's feeling, she's not about to broadcast it to the entire castle.]

The Lady Arwen Undómiel has been returned to her home. [There's a long pause] It is for the best. I would like to personally extend my gratitude to all who showed her hospitality and kindness while she was here. I cannot thank you enough for making her stay a little less trying.

[And now you can find her under Alexstrasza's tree, brooding thinking. Bother her if you want, but she's feeling a little melancholy.]

[ she was halfway kidding about the dragons, so she's surprised to hear that they existed, and died out. she's not sure what to say about that, since some dragons are obviously evil, but some might be nice! so she'll just skip over that ]

Dwarves, I know about, from stories and fairy tales that people tell. But I've never heard of a hobbit before. [ /treebeard ] Halfings... are they really short or something?

[ nodnod ] I'm not surprised that there are people who come from there. It's really big, and almost everyone wants to go there anyway. New York is great.

[ her, too. mostly because of stereotypes in fiction, but also because they are huge and scary lksdjflkjds ]

[ she's pretty tall for her age, but she gets the idea ]
Aww. Cute. And I think I'd like that a lot! Peregrin Took is such a cool, funny name.

Oh, I'm not from there. I just visited for a while. But I do miss home, and my family... [ she trails off, and shrugs, not wanting to seem too much like a baby ] But I guess everyone does.

[ lol, true ]

Hmm... I guess you're right. This is the first time I've ever been this far away, and for this long. Although, three weeks isn't that long, but it's long to me. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye...

How long have you been here, Galadriel?

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-20 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ): yeah. but she does her best to be brave ]

Not as long as some other -- I think there are some people who've been here for years! -- but still pretty long. Have any of your friends come?

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-20 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah...! I definitely catch your drift on that one. Even though for me, time doesn't really... move swiftly or anything. It feels like home is just moving on without me! I know people say no time passes at home or something confusing like that, but it still feels like it, you know?

[ is about to say something like 'but you can't be a grandmother!' when she remembers her age. cue sadface ]

Oh.. I'm sorry.

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-20 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmm. I try not to think about it too much.

[ so rite. ]

Yeah, I know. It would be selfish of me to want my brothers and sisters to come here. ] [ ...but she does anyway. fff. she tries to think of something happier to talk about ]

So, you have a granddaughter, huh? That must mean you have kids! What are they like?

welp how do i html

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-20 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[ D: oops. her big mouth. but of course, she's oblivious ]

Ohhh, what a pretty name. Celebrían... sounds kind of like 'celebration'! [ ha, she kind of rolls the r in both words ] Like... a celebration of being alive or something.

Elvish names are so cool.

<3 ;;

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-20 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ahaha, oops. welp, she pronounces so many things wrong ]

Ohhh... is there like, an Elvish baby name book? Where you can go and look up names when you're pregnant? I like to look up names online and see what they mean. If I ever have a daughter, I think I want to name her Mackenzie. Or Krystal. [ her favourite fake name :'( ]

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-20 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[ heh :3 ]

I wouldn't be surprised either. My sister once said that if you can imagine it, there's always someone who collects it. I'm sure someone collects cool Elvish names to put into a book. [ she nods at the language part. she thinks she gets it ]

Oh! [ she rubs her hands together. this is something she loves, so she's happy to explain ] To go online means to go on the internet. The internet is the coolest thing ever!! It's like... [ uhhhhm. hmmm. there's a pause as she tries to find something to compare it to. she looks up... aha! ]

It's like a really really big vine. All of the leaves are like, computers... which are... oh, gosh, really smart machines, I guess. When you go on the internet, all the leaves are connected by the vine. And there's all sorts of stuff on the internet. Information, games, videos...

[ she pauses, wondering if her explanation is crap ]

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-20 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[ it's good to have some proficiency in hyper-kid when talking to nudge ]

Yeah...! Haha, I think you actually just said what I was trying to say. Without all my blahblahblah, heh. But, yep! If I have a computer, and you have a computer, and if we both log on to the internet, we can talk, and share info and lots of other stuff. The internet is huuuuge; it's all over the world. So if like, you had friend in the Undying Lands, and you were home in your tree place, you could talk to them!

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-21 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, right! Lórien. [ she says it slowly, trying to pronounce it correctly ]

[ her stomach grumbles a little bit, and she looks up, eyeing the sun ]

Hmm... I should probably head back now.

[identity profile] percepts.livejournal.com 2011-05-21 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Me too! [ she beams as she stands up, dusting off the seat of her pants ] It was so nice meeting you, Galadriel. You're one of the most interesting people here! Thank you for answering my questions.

[ and then there's a brief, slightly awkward pause, as she's wondering whether or not to whip out the wings as well :x ]
