[ Today, Emil is sitting in the lobby, back to his normal self and looking pretty happy about it. He also seems to be attempting to play paddleball, which is probably not all that easy when you can't see what you're doing. Anyone walking close by better be careful. The journal beside him also picks up the sound of him playing. ]
I'm really glad that's over. I like it here, but it's a lot easier when I look like myself. But I hope I didn't scare anyone too much...
[ A short pause, like he's trying to remember something. ]
Oh, that's right! I was going to ask earlier, but I kept forgetting. The castle only celebrates some holidays here, but I don't know about that many of them from other places or anything like that. And I never really celebrated any before I got here...so if anyone has the time, could you tell me about the ones you like best?

[Laughs a little again.] Yes, Guy is good... now. It is a funny name, I agree. Friends are good.

He hasn't been able to fully heal since he came here, though, which so many do. I guess Paradisa can't heal everything?
[Yes, she does wonder about Emil's disability.]

Oh, is that his loss? I know the people here can cure a lot of things, but maybe it's because of that.
[ He doesn't realize that, sadly. ]
no subject
Hasn't... the castle cured your eyes? Or is that... your loss?
[She speaks with hesitation, not wanting to upset him.]

[ He pauses, before laughing a bit. ]
No, there isn't anything that can fix my eyes.
no subject
May I ask... what has happened to your eyes?
no subject
...well, if I look at something, it turns to stone.

[Her voice is full of sympathy. She could kick herself for her curiosity, but she is the kind of person who really cares.]

[ He doesn't really mind; to him, it's probably better if people know, for safety's sake. ]

So you weren't born with it? And you're not actually blind? What happened?

[ A bit less upbeat than before. ]
