[ town filter ]

[ despite all the talk and the disappearances occurring in the town, uru hadn't stopped working till closing time at her job. if anything, they needed people to take some of those shifts because some of her own co-workers had changed their schedule around so they were working in the morning. it didn't bother her; they were scared obviously.

it... was a scary thought.

luckily, she lived close to her workplace so uru didn't need to think too much about it. she stepped up to her door and stretched her arms before she began digging into her pockets.

funny... she wasn't hearing a jingling sound... nor did she feel her keys in her pocket. oh... oh, crap. after another few minutes of searching her other pockets and her bag, she found nothing. she had lost her keys again? :/ and she couldn't go back to work because it was closed. it wouldn't re-open until 8AM.

with a glance in the castle's direction, uru sighed and starts off that path. ]

[And a ways down the road, she's being watched. He's actually surprised he's managed to keep it up this long. Well... half of him is, but really, they aren't the most subtle of men and what little he's seen of her seems... intelligent. Well-spoken for the most part...]

[Too kind, maybe, but those were always the best. The most easily disquieted. He smiles to himself, and notes the pausing and rummaging and eventually the girl starts towards the castle without going in]

[It's perfect. Only a coin toss away from the test. The best sort of game. The high, familiar sound of the coin in the air makes his skin crawl, and he only just keeps himself from laughing when it comes up right. Wrong. Whatever]

[He slips out of the shadows after her, head down, the collar of his coat flipped up. Just another townsperson headed home for the night...]

[ she adjusts her bag and keeps walking, not noticing him yet. she lets out a soft sigh, still digging around her pockets. ]

How did I lose them again?

[ hrm, maybe she needed to keep it in her bag from now on, rather than her pocket. she was up and about at work for hours on end, after all. ]

[Probably a good idea for next time Uru... For now though, he drifts across the street, falling into step a ways behind her. Catching up slowly. So... so slowly... He almost thinks it'd be easier to just run after her now... but no. He's still got time to catch her without a fuss. Chasing is currently a last resort sort of option...]

[ running a hand through her hair now, she thinks she hears something but shrugs it off as the wind or a stray cat wandering the streets. it isn't until she's almost down the street her pace slows and she peers around her shoulder. ]

[He close by then. Almost close enough, but he pauses when she looks, keeping his head down and turning as if to look down the closest alley. Just a dude in a trench coat, don't mind him~]

[The only thing likely visible under the brim of his hat is the one mean eye... staring... right... at her...]

[ instantly jumping at the sight of mr. mysterious figure. well, that's not creepy at all. ]
