[This is completely and utterly maddening. One day, the weird blue thing is sitting under a tree, the next day, it's gone. Then she finds it snug against the castle walls, like it had always been there. Then it's gone again and she only happens upon it when she was passing by the duck pond (it seems to have a rather nice view too).
And today, it's just sitting in the middle of the lawn, sticking out like a sore (blue) thumb. She glares at it for a few minutes, before turning and heading out the door. She's gonna find out what the hell that thing is today - even though the last time she tried something like that, she ended up on someEXTREME odd game show.]

Really now, I've only been here two weeks, haven't I? I'm just getting my feet wet.
[stepping closer so he can peer down his nose at the two of them] And now I think that's quite enough of me answering the questions, seeing as it would appear you both are in my home, as it were. So come on, then. If I'm going to be buried in questions, I'd at least like to know the name of my questioners, hmm?

to make up for being so shortbefore she answers with a huff]Natsuki.
[at least you don't /seem/ to be infested with an evil alien head parasite. Thus far.]

I'm Zuko.
...What is this place, anyway? [a 'something something police box' really doesn't cut it as an explanation] Where did it come from?

[He's faced armies. Two children, however belligerent, were hardly enough to give him pause. They might, however, give him a headache.]
[to Zuko] She's the TARDIS. My ship.
[there's another brief pause while he considers the pair in front of him, before promptly spreading his arms and beginning to usher them back to the hallway]
Come on then... out of the wardrobe room.
If we're going to stand around blathering, we might as well do it somewhere comfortable.

Doesn't seem anything like a ship to me.

[he...seems less than pleased about the limitations.
Meanwhile, he'll herd them towards the library, where there are plenty of comfy chairs and it looks a bit more impressive and library-ish instead of like the inside of a giant walk-in closet]

So you're just as trapped as the rest of us.

So much for "fixing things."

Blimey, everyone's a critic.

That's what you do when you figure out you can't actually do anything.

Nonsense. Just because no one has doesn't mean it can't be done. Honestly, if people settled for logic like that you humans would never have made it out of the caves.

If destroying stuff isn't part of the solution, I'm pretty much useless.
[sidelong glance at Zuko]

[...she's had enough of that back at home.]

He really is new.

[a disbelieving look] Oh really, now. [a pause as he reconsiders] I mean...well... I did save the world with the power of love once. I did do that. But I was thinking something a bit more scientific.
[to Zuko] And I'm not new. Or not as new as all that. And I've faced far worse than a kidnapping, transdimensional castle.

[barely suppresses a twitch at the love thing. Coming from a world of magical girls does have its drawbacks (i.e. a lack of comeback).] This place wreaks havoc with science.
