005;

[ it's mid-afternoon when a tiny little creature descends from one of the trees surrounding the castle. It's as close as Alexstrasza dares get to the blasted place, but after a certain crystal was put up she can't help but want to know more about the new magic she sensed.

So in squirrel form she'll slowly be making her way across the grounds, hopping to clear the snow djkgd but pausing every few seconds to look around before slowly continuing toward the castle's courtyard even if she really, really would prefer not to. ]

[ ooc; COME MARVEL AT MORE NATURAL WILDLIFE. she might even randomly shift into fox or fawn form without warning too :> open♥ FOR THOSE WHO WANT MAMA DRAGON CR ]

For several days, one or more persons would be taken from the castle and dropped into the Dead Zone. It was a random selection and at random times, which is what led to the expedition visiting the home, so to speak, of the person who gave us the crystal. [a frown crosses his features as he thinks back on those several days. they still had no idea who or what had taken them over there and how they were able to do so without someone in the castle noticing...]

None, and yes, it is still unknown. Most of us did not have our journals, either, so we could not notify the castle residents of our disappearance, and they would have to figure out by communication who went missing.

It ranged — hunger pains, sleep deprivation, dehydration. Nothing serious, though.

Most wildlife is. To my understanding, there are some unnatural forms of wildlife out there, but only in one area.

This is as far as we know. If there is any more wildlife, we have not run into them yet.

The one form of wildlife we did find — it looks like a buffalo on the outside and has some sort of human attachment on the inside.

/after double-checking what was said over the journals about wtfalo...

The party that cut the buffalo down — the buffalo itself had no eyes, but everything else was intact. As it was being gutted, they came across a full human body within it which was also intact. The body had no eyes, either.

The human had not been eaten at all. According to the discoverers, it seemed to be a natural part of its internal structure.

[ffffffff and a thought just occurred to him!]

My apologies, there is one more form of wildlife residents have run into, as well.

/is back with red tea, sends you some

Yes.

To my knowledge, one was not gutted, and to this day has not been gutted yet.

The expeditions do have restrictions, since one can only carry so much with them. The crystals should make it easier to traverse more of the Dead Zone and, possibly, run into new forms of wildlife.
