[ it's mid-afternoon when a tiny little creature descends from one of the trees surrounding the castle. It's as close as Alexstrasza dares get to the blasted place, but after a certain crystal was put up she can't help but want to know more about the new magic she sensed.

So in squirrel form she'll slowly be making her way across the grounds, hopping to clear the snow djkgd but pausing every few seconds to look around before slowly continuing toward the castle's courtyard even if she really, really would prefer not to. ]

Yes. The mini-crystals power smaller electronics, although it would be intriguing if it helped retain one's supernatural abilities in the Dead Zone.

And you seem to frequent several forms, so there is no way of pinning down which one the Dead Zone will decide on you using when you are out there.

Hopefully whoever was responsible for the random resident drops into the Dead Zone several months ago is done with that for good.

For several days, one or more persons would be taken from the castle and dropped into the Dead Zone. It was a random selection and at random times, which is what led to the expedition visiting the home, so to speak, of the person who gave us the crystal. [a frown crosses his features as he thinks back on those several days. they still had no idea who or what had taken them over there and how they were able to do so without someone in the castle noticing...]
