I'm pretty sure I've ate, slept, and abused the never-ending stream of hot water in this place.

How about I meet you for Pie and coffee when you get off shift. [she's assuming that she's working, because - really - Jilly is like Jo in that sense of working until someone tells her that she's been there too long]

Anyone who was worried, I'm okay.

Anyone who doesn't know why other people were worried? [an amused tone] Don't worry about it now, 'cause I'm fine. [a pause] I am vetoing any camping trips in the near future, though.

I've been trying to answer questions about what happened, 'least when people ask 'em. For the most part though, I'm on the side voting that this wasn't the castle. If there are sides.

So, if anyone else wants to ask me anything about that whole week I was gone - I'm an open book.

[Chase]

When are you gonna be free for ... [thinks about it] ten minutes? I went by the room this morning and you must've been wandering. You do realize that if you get lost, I'm gonna have to come find you.

Then you'll be in trouble.

[what's this? investigating? Jo is all over that, too]

How about I head out toward wherever you are?

Sure. I'm was just talking with some of the town police [who'd have thought], but I could meet you at the fountain?

I'll leave here in a few and meet you in - [thinks about it] - fifteen minutes?

[she saw Sam... sort of leave quickly, so she'll have to talk to him later. Either way, she heads to town and makes her way to the fountain, zipping her jacket up a bit higher]

I'll be there.

[Town Filter]

[and, by the time Jo arrives, the fountain is where she will be. Her journal is open on her knee and she's doodling on the corner of the page but, today, she's more intent on what people are saying than actually drawing.]

[moves over toward Jilly, taking a seat beside her]

Hey, stranger. [smiles]

[looking up with a smile, though it falters a bit as she takes in her arm] Stranger's right.

You had me worried...

[careful of her wrist, she's already in store for a lecture]

Sorry, I promise not to get kidnapped by nefarious people without letting you know.

[sighs] It's been a long... [another exhale, and a knowing glance]

Pie. I think pie sounds really good.

As long as there's warning. [Her tone was as light as she could make it, all things considered. She wasn't in a lecturing mood. Just concerned.]

I'm thinking I agree.

[snapping her journal shut, she tucks it under one arm] Pie. Coffee. Absolutely no nefarious plottings for at least an hour.

[she's going to be lectured by Chase... she's sans sling for her wrist]

Good. [starts to walk toward the Pie Hole]

Find out anything good from the townspeople?

[falling in to step beside her, she can't a small frown] Not a lot, unfortunately.

There's at least two more people missing other than the two you guys found. And none of them are back yet.

Barbara's going to look into it a bit more, see if she can find something they didn't think to tell me.

[thoughtful hum]

Yeah, they weren't exactly cooperative at the time either. If I think of anything, I'll be sure to let you know.

[ooooh, Pie Hole - straight ahead]

[tilting her head back to consider the sign as they enter] You know... I've never been in here.

[smiles] Well, they have Pie... and other things.

[a laugh] You don't say.

[slipping inside] I just find it funny that I've almost been here a year, and there's still places I haven't tried.

[glances around and grabs a seat at a table]

Well, we should try to plan a few weekends. Get these other places out of the way.

[dropping down across from her] That actually sounds like a great idea.

So... other than surprise trips to the Dead Zone, what have I been missing?

[thinks... but orders when a waitress takes her order]

I have a new roommate when I stay in the castle. Not by choice, more like a castle mishap.

[putting her order in as well, though it takes her a bit to settle while looking through all the pies. Thanksgiving is coming up, though, so eventually she decides on Pumpkin. It seems appropriate]

...castle enforced roommates? It does that?

Not that I'm surprised, really, but that's inconvenient. Have you been staying in the castle a lot?

[laughs]

I don't know if the castle does it to everyone, but it did it to me. I was only staying on the weekends, and when Chase showed up in the castle he was lost and didn't know where his room was.

I loaned him mine for the night. He... stayed. I wasn't there, so the castle just moved him in with my stuff. [shrugs] It's taken some adjusting, but it's alright. He helped me with my wrist.

How's that feeling, by the way? [glancing at the cast]

[she's glancing to an imaginary cast... since it's just wrapped at the moment for the sprain]

It's annoying. Though, not as annoying as all the instructions I was left with for taking care of it. [itches her nails to the edge of it, where her skin stopped showing and the wrap started]

It'll heal though and that's good enough for me.

[at the wrapping ~~since the mun fails~~]

[a beat] When I hurt my wrist, there was a girl in the clinic who healed it. Ino. It would have healed alright if I'd left it, but it sped things up.

It's alright, I'm not exactly pro-magic in this place or anywhere else. In general, witchcraft tends to get people in trouble more often than not.

[a small laugh] I can understand that... something magical.. there's always a price.

It's pretty awe inspiring, though. And, for me, I think going six weeks without drawing would have been worse than the alternative.

Well, working at the bar this just gets me out of the heavy lifting. [smirks]
