It's now the 20th of the month. Would the Dead Zone be my only chance of knowing what's out there? But if every type of ability, power, magic and technology stops working, where do I go on from there?

I don't understand. If these people knew who Oz was to me, why are they so calm about the fact he's been separated from me? [ or that i've been separated from him. no, they don't understand. :/ no one ever does. ]

Even in that building I couldn't use Raven or my own guns.

[ a few minutes later, he scribbles in: ]

What is Paradisa?

[ mumbled to himself more than anything ]

That entire building just disappeared? What the hell was that all about?

[ after a couple of minutes, gil sits himself down outside in the courtyard. it's kind of chilly but he really prefers this kind of weather. the heat just irritates him. he writes into the journal: ]

There have been a few expeditions in the past year in Paradisa, correct? How far did everyone travel and what exactly was discovered out there? You've only gone as far as the Dead Zone, I believe, unless I'm mistaken. Even if it's just references to older journal pages, I don't mind being pointed to them for reading.

If he was a castle resident, he's not anymore. And he's got to still be here somewhere, because when people go home their rooms clear out. Either he moved into town or...beyond. There are people who live out there beyond the Dead Zone, we know that much.

So little about this world has been revealed despite there being people who've been here three years. How can that even be?

This world has the power to trap people here from all kinds of worlds. Some of these people could even be considered gods themselves, but still they can't do anything to leave.

Is it really so surprising that it'd be good at keeping important information from us?

But how do you hide information like that?

Well we know it can make anything in the castle appear or disappear, so there's that. The people in town aren't ever willing to offer any information. We don't really know for sure how far it's magic stretches, either. It'd be nice to think it can't go beyond the Dead Zone, but the journals work out there, and we found out some forms of technology can, too.

We've honestly discovered a lot that was unknown, say, three years ago... But most of it's just lead to more questions than answers.

I plan on going back out there soon. Not really sure I feel like waiting for next spring.

I don't know about that. Most people here just try in their own way. Others like it here if they don't have anything to go back to.
