[the clinic was much closer than his room; even with anyone on staff there, he didn't want to chance no one being there and leaving Cloud with nothing to help him with. running with the brutally crippled Subaru in his arms, he spotted Saber in her spirit form close by. it was fortunate that Zelman put a stop to Legato when he did - otherwise his Servant would have had to step in. god only knew that she was mere moments away before Cloud broke free.

never too far, he was even more grateful for having become her Master for the convenience of having someone there for him. not for him, this time... running as he went along with Saber, Cloud didn't waste any time]

Saber, in my room under my bed, there is a chest that contains magical orbs called Materia. Bring it to the clinic. We'll be there!

[looking back to Subaru, though Cloud's expression remained stern and determined, his eyes portrayed all the emotions that he felt on the inside. he was worried]

We're almost there.

[gently squeezing Subaru's hand, as he could hear him struggling with conciousness, Cloud's voice grew more assertive] Don't fall asleep yet. Listen to me, Subaru. Just wait.

[and that was when Saber came to the rescue, his chest of materia was being shoved at him. for a moment as he stood, letting go of Subaru's hand briefly to hold onto it, he couldn't help but look at Saber in shock. she was already here... with how quickly she raised her voice at him to hurry up, he quickly shook his head, steeling himself as he set the box down on a nearby table. opening it up, a beautiful display of glowing orbs was present. feeling through them as he sensed their power, which was which...he found the one he wanted. this would do just fine.

they were here, Subaru. Luke and Travis would have nothing to worry about...]

Saber... Can you hold his hand? [he needed to feel someone was there for him, not alone until they could get past the worst of it. stepping back to Subaru's side, Cloud closed his eyes, gripping that green orb tightly...]

[tapping into the most powerful level of the Restore materia, Cloud's magical prowess awoke, surfacing in the wake of a vivid green aura. taking the power of the materia and manifesting it through himself, he gestured his hand over the body of the broken child, a beautiful display of rainbow sparkles showering down over Subaru as he cast Curaga. his arms were corrected, bones mended soothingly without any real pain, soreness from being contorted so numbed, and refreshing his physical state.

like it was nothing... the aura faded away, only to resurface once more as he prepared to cast yet another spell, his reserve of magic not one to run dry anytime soon. Saber was right to feel that there was quite the reserve of power within him - he'd do this as many times as it took to heal Subaru. a powerful swordsman and mage, he played a rather handy jack of all trades. another casting of Curaga washed over Subaru, liberating him of what remained of those horrific experiences Legato left him with.

sighing in relief, he opened his eyes to the sight of Subaru on the bed, a brief flash of that aura surfacing one last time as he cast a Regen spell, so the body could heal naturally, quicker. as for his mental state? well...there wasn't much that a curing spell could do for trauma. all that mattered was that he was going to be okay now.

he'd never forget what he almost did, but redemption came in the form of a Servant and her Master. stepping back from Subaru, he placed the Restore materia back amongst the rest he hoarded. a close call...

you could sleep now. returning to the bedside with Saber and him, Cloud calmly watched for if there would be any response, good or bad from his friend]
