[Tres was doing his usual rounds outside the castle when he heard a muffled giggling behind him, turning to scan the vicinity he did something he had only ever done twice before in his existence.

He re-scanned data immediately, believing a complete malfunction.

The genetic code of this tiny girl matched both the Duchess Milan and the small trace DNA his own brain stem contained... the re-scan gave the same information.

It did not compute, was not possible, and yet there she was. The most logical explanation was a loss, a whim of the castle, although for what purpose Tres was as of yet unsure.

She pranced towards him, blonde curls bouncing and mismatched red and green eyes dancing happily with an emotion her father never showed. Until...

...she tripped on a rock and fell over, grazing her knee.

Without thought, Tres moved forwards and scooped her up, drawing and cocking his gun in 0.002 seconds to blast that rock out of existence.]

Threat terminated.

[Hey, if it shared any DNA with Caterina, nothing was hurting it. Not even a rock.]

[She will forgo answering him through the journal and be on her way there. Caterina looks a little more than surprised to see him holding a baby girl. It was impossible not to notice the girl had his mismatched eyes and her hair. She would still give her subordinate a chance to explain before speaking up about it.]

[What's better than a nice walk in the gardens during an early spring day? Why nothing. It was peaceful and calming and quite enjoyable, that is until a gun was fired and a little bit of the ground exploded. As if carefully orchestrated, not a beat too late after the fire, a young boys yell of surprised terror could be heard. He hadn't been that far away.]

F-Father Tres... you n-nearly gave me a heart attack.

[wisely recognizes that particular gunshot because he's heard it more times in his life than he probably should sadkjfa and he's kind of cautious about going to see what it was that Tres found fit to shoot....but then again maybe he killed someone. That would be cool, so don't mind if he heads in that direction, looking around]
