[His mind had been on the letter since the night before, hell... he'd even had trouble sleeping. It wasn't about them and he didn't quite understand that. Ordinaries were hard as hell to understand and he didn't much like that. When he does manage to get to sleep, he's woke up by someone or something crawling over him]

[Opening his eyes, he blinks a bit staring at the little boy with his own hazel eyes staring right at him]

It's a bit complicated, actually. I was born and bred... human mixed with feline DNA. So in other words I was made in a lab.

[He gently pries the little one's hand from his skin and sits up a bit, picking the boy up rubbing his back]

He makes potions, medicines, does experiments...wait who're you calling ordinary? I'll have you know I'm a pureblood wizard thank you very much. I can trace my lineage back seven centuries.

No, the one who made my kind doesn't make potions. And Ordinary is what a person is called that isn't a transgenic or a familiar.

We're genetically empowered. The ones with the canine DNA look more dog-like. We don't look like cats but we do growl and purr, seeing as our DNA isn't your normal house cat.
