♫ 11 - oh sweet child of mine...
[there was a soft noise that was trying to cut through the fog in Lindsey's brain as he started to open his eyes... to a pink bedroom. No... those were pink post-it notes that covered the area of wall he woke up staring at. He leaned closer and then blinked as he read a few of them, then quickly turned over as he felt a cool body shift in the blankets next to him.
Oh hi, Harmony...
Yeah, this was not wrong at all. Lindsey didn't even remember going home with her, or even seeing her on his path back from the library last night. He was pretty sure he had fallen asleep in his own bed.
Quietly, he started to slide out of bed, seeing that yes he was still in his boxers and t-shirt. That was a bit of a relief. Not that he didn't like Harmony, but they were friends and friends aren't supposed to have sex together unless they planned it and remembered it. As he stood up, his eyes took in the rest of the room with raised eyebrows.]
... wow, there were a lot of unicorns in this room.
[his eyes noticed something else in the room. A tiny crib with blue bedding. And the soft noise that had woken him up was starting to get a bit louder. Curiosity got the better of him and he walked over to look in the crib and a pair of bright blue eyes stared back at him. The baby gurgled and held it's chubby little hands up at Lindsey.]
This... ain't good at all...

[confused] Who's Connor?
no subject
Oh. After my time... well, my point in the whole story I guess. Angel and Darla had a baby. [shrugs] He grew up in a Hell dimension or something, he's Connor. Miracle baby of the weird kind.
[gasps] Like our baby! Human and Vampire.

Instead, he would smile a bit and focus on the little baby in front of them]
Well, I think our little boy is just special. But he does need a name.
no subject
He's tiny. [shrugs] You should name him.
no subject
Brody. It's a nice, strong name.
no subject
Sounds good to me. [glances down to the baby]
How do I know if it's done?
no subject
Usually they either fuss and push the bottle away, or they finish it dry, or fall asleep. I think he's doing the later of the three.
You'll have to burp him though.

It makes sure there's not bubbles in his stomach. Now here, shift him onto your shoulder... [he helped shift Brody onto her shoulder like he had held him before they found the bottle] ... and then you gently rub and pat his back until he gives you a little burp. And don't freak out if there's a bit of milk that comes back up.
no subject
Did he? I don't wanna look.
no subject
Nope, you're safe. You can probably put him in his crib now, unless you want to keep holding him.
no subject
I should... I mean, I should probably put him away, right? I can't wear this all day.
no subject
[awkward... because what are they supposed to do now?]

[he's really at a loss for what to do beyond move in... and the place is a bit too girly for his tastes]
no subject
The castle moved you here though. [also, edging in on upset] So, you'll just wake up here every morning and then leave? [see her bottom lip? it'll start to tremble here]

You know what to do with the baby though. I don't. Just... just stay? [shrugs, hopeful glance and everything] I mean, I'm not horrible or something, right?
Or... [trying to think on her feet, because she is smart, she just has to be focused] ...or I could come with? We could just wish for the baby stuff where you live.
no subject
[he rubbed the back of his neck and sighed]
You're probably gonna want to change your room to give Brody his own room and stuff. If you really want me to stay... i guess you could make me a room too, temporarily or something... until we figure this whole thing out.
[small chuckle]
Plus... you're have to redo all your post-it notes if you came to my place...
no subject
[boys are weird]
So... are you staying here?

[puts the baby back into the crib and moves around the room, taking her things off the bed, bend and reach, and then she drops that to the floor, and wishes up two twin beds, which she thinks is pretty much the cutest thing ever, well, next to the miracle baby]
Better??
no subject
Well, we aren't exactly the Brady's, but yeah. That's better. Think you can survive about twenty minutes though as I go back to my room to get some stuff?
no subject
I'll get dressed while you're gone.
no subject
I think that's all I'll need until we can figure out what's really going on... I should probably cook up something to eat. Are you... hungry at all?
