Might as well do this while I'm thinking about it. Hi, I'm Alec McDowell. Figured I'd say hey so that everyone knows I'm the sane one. To put it mildly. I'm sure Maxie's already mentioned my twin brother, Ben. So this is me introducing myself so that everyone knows who I am.

[gets up and heads over, knocking on the door before she opens it, heading in and glancing around for him]

[He makes a slight face since he said just to walk in but at the same time it didn't matter. He was pacing. A lot]

[it was polite to let him know she was coming in, regardless of the door being open and the invite offered]

You alright? [cause she sees the pacing, and that never means good times]

[He stops and turns to her giving a small smile]

[He sighs and goes over sitting down putting his face in his hands before looking up at her. Right... she'd also been avoiding him for a while too]

Ben's my identical twin brother. Back home he's dead. But he seems to be very much alive here. As in he's here in Paradisa. But see unlike me Ben is crazy. He was...

[not avoiding... busy. Okay, avoiding, but this seems serious, so she'll go sit down next to him]

Maxie was actually how I found out. He doesn't know about me, Jo. He might get a bit... I don't know yet.

[nods, and it's mostly just a gesture, since she doesn't know what to say to that]

But I want you safe. Ben's a bit crazy. Actually, he's a killer. Don't get me wrong we were all born and bred killers... but he killed for the fun of it back home.

Good. I care about you, Jo. And I'd hate for anything to happen to you. Especially when it comes to a guy identical to me. Down to the barcode. Well... not the same but we do both have barcodes.

[oh, Alec. She's already been hurt by a guy pretty much identical to you, so even though it's a different kind of hurt, you're a bit too late on that warning]

Are you going to be okay? [feels like she's been asking a lot of that question]

[It doesn't matter. He likes her and will warn her anyway]

That's a loaded question right now that I don't have the answer to.

[eyes him, sizing him up, keeps certain thoughts tucked away]
