[Written in perfect cursive handwriting, with a flourish that's more like a stab of the pen:] ... Despite knowing it could be certain danger, people tend to rush headlong into these kinds of situations. It's a human condition.

[The journal picks up the sounds of... crinkly things going into a bag-- supplies, maybe.]

A dream...

[The journal picks up the sound of someone sitting up fairly quickly. A shuffle, something like "FWOOSH"— and whatever opening doors sound like. Doors, drawers, the window... He's inspecting all of it, and realizing he's not where he's supposed to be.

And he forgot to charge his phone again, or something, 'cause it's completely dead. Sigh. He slips it back into his— what the FUCK happened to his clothes? But that's not a priority.]

... No. A nightmare.

[There's a book with his name on it, and that's a curiosity; he brings it with him as he decides to balcony surf in his new medieval-era goth garb, which isn't that much different makes him look even more like a vampire. Black ruffles, a poet shirt with a ribbon, and lots of useless buckles, though his cape remains the same... No headband means his hair is everywhere and terribly bishounen.

He'd be cute if he wasn't pale as death itself.]

[ooc: Feel free to scream at the creep ninja-ing across your balcony, or bug him over the journal for creepy melodramatic lines. It's all cool with me.]

Damnit.

What the hell is--

Really, I shouldn't be surprised, but--

Of all the places I supposed I'd eventually end up, I never imagined anything quite like this. And if I'm actually here like I'm assuming I must be, I'm not sure if it's because I need to be, or if I'm supposed to be, or if it's because I've died.

In which case, I always figured I'd remember the events that led to the occurrence of my death, but perhaps that would be expecting too much.

...

Maybe it's best I don't understand, then.

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
