[Peeta sinks his knife into Brutus' chest again. He was sitting next to the body, driving the knife in over and over. He closes his eyes for a moment, sickened by the act. When he opens his eyes, he lets out a gasp. Had the arena changed? Was this even Panem? Brutus' body is gone, but Peeta still holds the bloody knife.]

Katniss?

[Peeta crawls backward desperately until his back hits a tree. He lets out a yelp, then holds his knife up threateningly at whatever or whomever might show up.]

Katniss!

[ooc: Open in person or over the journals! Just expect him to be a bit hysterical.

Also, some things you may notice about Peeta: he has an artificial leg, his skin is kind of a gray-green because of the ointment he used for blisters, he's a bit weak, there may be remnants of a flower drawn on his cheek with blood, and his hands and knife are covered in blood. Headcanoned that Finnick gave him a knife since Beetee took his asfdsafdagkjdk]

[Peeta's trying to bake some bread, his speciality. He's on his fourth attempt, each with burnt and black results, he forgets that his journal is open and starts muttering to himself for all to hear. He's not hapy and the kitchen has started to reek of his failure during the second loaf.]

I use to do this every day...! Why can't I now?

[With that, attempt number five begins. Spoiler alert: It'll be burnt too.]

One Loaf

[With a leg that's feeling much better and a journal with blank pages, the blond teen doesn't know what much to do with it besides doodle all over one of the pages.

The finished product has what he knows best - food, a girl with braided hair, and even a corner sun. Content with it, he decides what he wants to ask first out of all the ones reeling in his mind.]

So... What is this place? It's almost the complete opposite of Panem. Better, much better.

[Hello Paradisa, there are now two dirt-covered, shocked-looking teenagers in your lobby. One is currently bleeding from the huge chunk missing from his calf while the other is already on her feet, a silver bow drawn in her hands]

Where are we?
 
I don't know, Peeta... I've never seen this place before. [A sudden gasp] Your leg!

I guess that's kind of a problem, huh? Are you okay?

Yes, I'm alright. I'm more worried about you. You need a doctor.

A doctor can wait. We don't even know where we are or how to find one. We could be back in the Capitol for all we know!

I don't think this is the Capitol, Peeta. You just sit, alright? I'll try and find some help.

[And now the voice of the female is no longer directed to the boy, but to anyone in particular. It is strangely over-cautious, as if she is expecting something or someone to jump out at her]

Hello? Me and my... friend need help. Now.

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
