Anyone up for a drink?

[Because that's totally healthy behavior.]

For anyone who knew her, Layla Miller has gone home... again.

How was everyone's Easter? Anyone sick of sugar yet, or has everyone gotten wise to that castle at this point and thinks twice before popping holiday handouts in your mouths?

[She knows that Jamie doesn't like it when she creeps into his room without his permission. She knows that it drives him nuts when she generally does things unpredictable and surprising. And she knows that if he were in the hall with her right now, he'd probably try and cart her back to her room and tell her to stay there. Stuffy, bossy, Hamlet-loving Jamie...

But while Layla knows this information...she doesn't really heed it well. Evidenced by the fact that, creeping through the halls in one of Jamie's over sized shirts, and boxer shorts, looking for the plaque with Jamie's name on it. In the middle of the night. It's a little dark in the halls, but there's enough light flickering from the screen of her useless phone to guide her.

When she finds Jamie's door, she pulls a tool from her pocket and fiddles with the lock on the door. Once she hears that comforting
click-cling sound, she pockets the tool, turns the knob slowly...and then enters. She can hear the faint, almost reassuring sound of a body sleeping...and she times the movement of her feet just right... so that her steps are louder than the click of the door shutting.

Cautiously, she pads over to the bed, bending over the sleeping figure. So peaceful...

Oh well.]

Jamie?

Not trying to drag up bad memories here, but just a little while ago we found more than our share of old journals from... outside of this journal here.

This one stops after a few years back and all of that, I got it. But someone was keeping some kind of separate journal to jot their thoughts down in. So I'm wondering, any chance people managed to find any old journal pages not related to the Slenderman mess? Not all the papers people were reading through had something to do with him, and you never know what sort of surprises the past can ready you for.

The weekends are pretty meaningless when you don't actually have to work Monday through Friday. On the plus side, at least no one where can get a case of the Mondays.

Then again, for me, doing what I did, I was working whatever days of the week I needed to, Saturdays and Sundays included.

Anyone ever wonder how this thing has about four years worth of writing in it from hundreds of different people, but somehow it's still small enough to carry around?

The technicalities of magic must be tricky.

I almost feel like be self-congratulatory about avoiding the monster mess of the other day... for once. It's almost enough to make a guy feel completely ineffectual here.

On a different note, I know people have put drawings and pictures in these journals before...

[Either way, there's a slight metallic ding as Jamie flips a coin before he catches it and tapes the caiso to the journal. What looks almost like a photograph image of a caiso appears in any other open journal.]

So just out of curiosity, anyone mind telling me what actually happened on the other end with that?

[Five different Jamie's are standing around, exploring different rooms of the castle, since Jamie Prime sent them out to explore the town, but eff dude :( It was cold outside, and since none of his duplicates listen to him anymore anyway, they're all just flaffing about the castle like a bunch of useless... clone things.

Meanwhile Jamie Prime is standing around in the lobby trying to thumb through the journal while periodically moving around to avoid the groups of doves flying overhead. He'll let other people deal with that, Jamie's seen enough of other people's forced makeout sessions by now to know not to fall into that trap. He'll occasionally give them an irritated look. HOW DARE THEY BE IN THE AREA THAT THEY'VE BEEN THE ENTIRE TIME HE'S BEEN HERE. STUPID BIRDS]

((OOC. Babs made a suggestion to put up sections for the different dupes that are around the castle, the section will say where they are and what aspect of Jamie's personality they represent, if you want to run into one, but avoid others. If for some crazy reason you really want to, feel free to run into more than one of them too! It's not like they're leaving their specified rooms any time soon, and they all look and sound exactly the same.

ALSO, just a general post, not necessarily meant for random kissing. (: ))

[The journal is picking up that nice, loud, thumpy sound of body smacking into a wall followed by three simultaneous “OW”s that sound suspiciously like they all have the same voice! How odd

There’s a short pause]

Oh God! We’re all going to die!

We’re not going to die. Would you-- [The sound of a struggle for a bit] LET GO!

[This is followed by a pitiful sobbing sound.]

Jeez. So where the Hell did I end up now?

Don’t you mean Hel? With one L?

What?

Hel! With only one L. This book here said that you were saying “Hell”, like the Christian version of it, but that’s not really accurate considering--

Wait, what book? Give me that! [And there’s some fumbling as the book changes hands.]

You could have just asked…

[Meanwhile that pitiful sobbing has turned into pathetic sniffling. Hooray background noise.

Also, for inquiring minds that want to know. If you're in the lobby right now, you'll see what looks like three triplets squabbling amongst themselves]

So this stuff in the kitchen is free. Right?

[ooc: Jamie and a bunch of his duplicates are raiding the kitchen and taking food and drinks back to his room.]

Naked people. Strange Castle. Guess I'm not back in prison.

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
