ii. a little echo ; public, filterless
[Well, now, Echo has somehow extracted herself from Vincent's bedroom after a most interesting experience on the elevator and subsequent nap-time. After exploring the castle fully (and idk how much time has passed since then, days?), she finds herself without orders, and is now perched upon the armrest of a couch with her journal, observing the on-goings and occasionally taking notes.
Oh, who am I kidding. She's just taking down notes on everything in sight. This is how her journal entry goes:]
It seems to be a festival of a sort. The lobby is decorated with a tree covered in lights, and other such colorful decorations. There are ribbons on the wall. There are bells on the ceiling. There are also parasitic plants hanging from the eaves.
The inhabitants of the castle seem to perform a ritual in honor of this festival. It is as follows:
There is a man.
There is a woman.
There is the sound of a bell, and the man and woman stimulate the transmitters attached to the pleasure receptors to create feelings of euphoria, giddiness, elation and the like through the exchange of saliva past the lips.
The woman experiences oxygen deprivation, and stops the exchange. There is an awkward silence. The woman slaps the man.
The sound of the slap generally echoes through the lobby at the rate of 70 decibels per second, for the duration of three seconds.
The woman and man part. On average of fifteen minutes, two more inhabitants enter the lobby, and the process repeats.
[A pause in the scribblings. She seems to be considering something.]
This appears to be a festival designed to celebrate the polygamy between individuals. Interesting.
[ooc: Echo!commentary is a go. Feel free to come and bug her, or to just respond through the journal. Unplanned kisses are awesome too. /o/]

CAN GIL KISS HER...
Echo?
... VINCENT WILL BE SO PISSED. HECK YEAH. I mean-
... Oh wait.
Vincent told her to avoid this guy at all costs. So the logical course of action would be to run away like the wind before Vincent finds out he's caught sight of her.
But she's also not supposed to be rude to this guy, and running away without a greeting and explanation would be rude.
But being polite would entail sticking around, and Vincent would-
But if she's rude to his brother, Vincent would-
... brb brain stall. Have a blank stare as she tries to sort out this catch-22.]
<3!!
What are you doing?

Oh.
[ doesn't really want to pry her with any more questions about it but as he tries to walk by a bell rings somewhere :) ]

May or may not be walking up to him bluntly, and wondering why the hell he's so much damn taller. Maybe she should jump...? ]

She does this magnificent impression of a deer in headlights, and stays very, very still. Don't make eye contact, don't make eye contact, don't make-]

It'll be over soon.]

I upset my brother the other day, you know? I couldn't find you. Ahh, that really irritates me. So that's because I wasn't able to do anything before.

And what about instances when both are men, or women?

Echo records what Echo sees.

Echo does not understand what you mean by 'missing out'.

That is true. Echo should be able to record all kinds of interactions, and not just the male-female ones.

What is the purpose of recording, if I may ask?
