Okay... Though eating really really yummy food yesterday was amazing, I don't think I really liked the turkey all that much. Kinda... funky tastin'. Like, this stuffing stuff, with potatoes that are squished, are pretty good! Can't believe there is a holiday where you get to eat lotsa food!

And Yunie... where are you? Have you gotten lost or something?

[chuckles, quietly. there's a voice he hasn't heard in a while.]

Hello, Rikku. ... Digesting comfortably, are you?

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-12-02 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
I did! There isn't too much I won't eat, to be honest. Except hagra biscuit, that's never tasted good no matter how I've had it served.

Oh, be glad you haven't... they're ... hmm. You've heard of breadsticks, maybe? That's a good place to start.

Breadsticks are ... basically very small, thin loaves of bread. A Hagra biscuit is about the same shape and consistency, only, it's blue. Very blue. And lumpy. It doesn't really look as though it would taste as horrid as it does.

Which, of course, means that every time I see one, I need to taste it and see if it really IS as bad as all the others have been.

[pause. brightly] And it usually is.

What can I say? We like holidays where we get to eat a lot.

There needs to be some sort of calendar system around here. For the holidays of everyone's worlds.

[identity profile] thelabking.livejournal.com 2009-11-28 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Awwww] Man, that sucks. Not even some kind of harvest festival or something?

Cool. And we've got Christmas coming up. Christmas is great.

[identity profile] thelabking.livejournal.com 2009-11-28 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a holiday where you eat lots of food and give each other gifts. You also decorate a tree, sing songs, drink eggnog, spend time with a beautiful woman with legs that go all the way up there and do other fun filled activities.

...

Nothing. Old memories.

Christmas is fun.

Just this really nice Christmas present I got once.

[He thinks of a subtle way to put this] A lady friend.

[identity profile] thelabking.livejournal.com 2009-11-29 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
We did after I was let out of quarantine.

There was a fungus in the bones we were examining. The Jeffersonian went into lockdown on Christmas Eve, and we have to spend two days there to make sure we were clear.

[identity profile] thelabking.livejournal.com 2009-11-29 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
It wasn't great, but we were with our friends. We still made our own little holiday.

[identity profile] thelabking.livejournal.com 2009-11-29 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well, at least you get to see what it's like here, right?

[identity profile] thelabking.livejournal.com 2009-11-29 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Officially? December 24th. But if the castle is anything like Earth, it'll start advertising Christmas any time between now and then.

[identity profile] thelabking.livejournal.com 2009-11-29 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say no to that.
