I know that we've never quite had good relations between each other, but for what it's worth, I don't believe you killed that man.

I don't wish to discuss that further; I'm sure you've had enough of that. There's something else I was hoping to ask you about. Why

[There's a quiet sigh, and she sets down her pen to dictate now.]

Why did you kill me those months ago?

How did you find out?

When I first arrived, I was warned to avoid you. I did some digging through the journals and found where I returned to life, and learned that you had murdered me. But I could never find the reason why.

It was a necessary precaution. I had warned you numerous times to stop communicating with my brother.

[Pauses a moment, rather puzzled.]

You killed me because I spoke with your brother? For what reason did you want to prevent us from speaking?

He's a traitor to the Fire Nation.

[That's certainly a tangent she doesn't wish to get her started on, and it's probably for the better that she not.]

Even if he were, surely there would be little harm for discussion here where we are removed from our world. Perhaps all I sought was conversation. [Though she can't say that for certain. She still knows very little about her previous visits to Paradisa.]

It's irrelevant, now. As I see it, we have the opportunity to restart. As long as the Avatar isn't in Paradisa, there's no need for theatrics. However, if you'd prefer politics from a future you'll never see...

[Thinks about this. She'd rather make Azula somewhat of an ally than make her an enemy, that much was certain.]

I only asked because it seemed rather extreme. But if you don't have motive to do it again, then I don't see the harm in a fresh start between you and I.

I don't have plans to kill anyone. If I did, they'd be dead already. Unfortunately, the people in this castle find that an incredible hard concept to wrap their minds around.

There are so few of us from our world here, it would be pointless to not be civil with each other.

I would hope that murder would be your last option, Azula. Though it's only temporary, it's clear that the residents are no less sensitive to it than a death anywhere else. [sighs quietly] Though the way that man spoke of you was incredibly out of line.

You'd think the impermanence of death would soften it for them. Instead, they still whine.

Washington is acting out of grief, without thinking. His accusations are absurd, but not as absurd as the notion that I'd be punished for this.
