Wave #5

[After this, Wash has been giving another go at working out his loss, since he feels like he should've managed that, by now.

He's also been on the roof a lot of evenings lately now that the rain's stopped. April and its nightly thunderstorms were great and all, but it also left him missing the stars. And he might not have a ship to pilot, at the moment, but being up here helps, since this place has some pretty spectacular views.

Tonight, he's making lists of names, ships, constellations, foods, and so on - scribbling them out when he thinks they're complete.

Finally, picks up his pen again, and after he manages to work out how to filter it...]

Sooooo.. how'd you guys figure out what the castle took from you when it dragged you in?

*-*-*

[That done, he sets the journal aside and stretches out on the roof, eyes on the sky, a faint frown on his face, as thoughtful!Wash is thoughtful.]

[ooc: open, for any fellow roof dwellers/star gazers]

[Gellert walked along before spotting the other man looking up at the sky. Muggle he assumed, most were here but he still walked over and glanced up at the constellations]

[Gellert glances down at him and nods before sitting]

A good night for Astronomers and astrologers I suppose.

[identity profile] iownthehallows.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Neither.

[Replies and sits down before giving a wry smile]

I am apparently a tyranical dictator set on taking over the world.

[Shrugs with a sigh looking back up at the stars]

I do not recognise any of them.

[identity profile] iownthehallows.livejournal.com 2009-05-09 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
[Glances at him and smiles a little.]

Yes, well they probably also say that you should not know your own future. Although not many would turn down the chance.

[Picks at the stone floor thoughtfully.]

It is strange to look up and not recognise anything, yet have it still be a sky and stars. I had not thought that I had looked up at them all that often.

[identity profile] iownthehallows.livejournal.com 2009-05-11 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
[Blinks at him confused]

Surely you're still under them?

[identity profile] iownthehallows.livejournal.com 2009-05-12 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
Interplanetary...

[Stares at him genuinely shocked and impressed before looking up at the stars and then back down at him again. He sits down and suddenly looks his age of eighteen.]

What? How? Have you been to Mars? Jupiter?

[Fred's already there, curled up on a corner of the room. Her knees are tucked up and her chin's resting on them. She's resting her head on one side, quietly watching him]

They're different here.

[she glances up at the stars, and then to his question --]

Sometimes you eventually work it out on your own. Sometimes people tell you. That seems to be the way it works.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2009-05-05 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
You can always talk to people that know you. Look back through the journals if you want, if you were here before. I don't know if you were or not...

[she uncurls a bit]

I forgot forgetting. It's a bit complicated.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2009-05-07 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I was here too. From a different time, but still here.

[there's a sound then that's part sigh and part laugh]

I don't know why I never considered drinking...

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2009-05-09 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Well, some of them are...

[she uncurls fully thinking about that]

Even without the alcohol. It's this place.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2009-05-09 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
have a Fred scurrying over to a respectable distance and she stretches out to look at the sky too. Since Pylea she's gotten an A in scurrying]

That's true. It wouldn't be fair to blame it for everything.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_fredless/ 2009-05-11 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
A fair bit more than most, I think. Just a little bit shy of everything still isn't everything. I still doubt it, but I'm giving it just a touch of benefit to be polite.

((OOC And having now seen Dollhouse finale this thread makes me lol))

[SereniCrew filter FTW]

[identity profile] gracefulwoman.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Simply enough. I tried to use a bow and discovered that I couldn't.

[Most awesome filter EVER, clearly]

[she laughs softly] So noted. I will not endeavor to teach you archery.

You seem to remember us all, and those not here that have been mentioned--perhaps it's a skill you've forgotten?
