WELCOME TO FAIRFIELD
[Welcome, everyone, to Fairfield's main street.
Start playing. Post for farms/residential buildings will be up in a few.]
MAIN STREET
[It's a minute or two into the new day, and lo, here she comes, riding into town. A blonde woman in a red shirt, mounted on a big, beautiful horse. Both look a little dirt-caked and tired, as it's been a long trip back into town. She makes her way down Fairfield's main street, talking to herself.]
Back home at last, Major.
[she's talking to her horse, and she leans over to give the stallion a pat on the neck as she shifts in the saddle to look up and down the empty streets. A lamp is on here or there.]
No trouble out here that I see. Folks all in their bed at this hour. If there's anything that means everything's just swell, I reckon that's it.
GENERAL STORE
[All is quiet in the living quarters upstairs, and then...]

Good morning to you too.

POST OFFICE
How strange. A most peculiar turn of events indeed...
[ The lack of lighting in the room did well to shadow his face as a hand rose to tap his cheek thoughtfully. ]
The workings of this place will never cease to astound me.

Alas he receive no answer ]
