I know everyone's been asking "Are you okay?", and I know you'll be fine, but just be careful. Hearing that yesterday made my head spin. Didn't expect something like that to go down here; especially to you.

Anyway, whoever did that to you -loss or not- deserves an ass-kicking. And I'm sure the majority of everyone in this castle would be willing to serve it to him.

Everything's been moving at unusual paces to me. Sometimes they feel too slow, but then faster. It's strange. And the weirdest thing happened yesterday; I was running, and suddenly lost a noticable amount of speed for a split second. I think this place is messing with the Speed Force.

I dunno, the city is a never ending renaissance fair, there's not much in the way of modern take-out.

Anything can be delivered if people are willing to be lazy enough. I'm just... getting bored here. My attention span is bad enough as it is. Do you have a job anywhere?

Yeah, I work as a waitress at the Pie Hole.

How long do you think it would take you to read through the infinite library?

Really? You must get a lot of business there. I'm surprised every man hasn't gotten fat from eating too many pies here.

I guess it depends on how many books there are. Why?

Sometimes, yeah. And when the castle can provide you with twenty-four hour ice cream, cream puffs, cake and whatnot, I don't think a pie shop will make much of a difference.

As far as I've heard, there's an infinite amount of books.

My point was that you and Claire are both beautiful girls, and you both work there. I was being charming, as usual.

I don't like reading. I read Moby Dick in a little over two minutes. Don't remember anything about it, though. I usually forget everything I read fast, and reading slow takes the kind of patience I don't have.

But if this library's infinite, I guess I would never finish, right?

That sucks. Not much point in exploring the depths of an infinite library if you don't like reading.

I think I might be about ready to give up on that one, Cass, not gonna lie.

Sorry, it's my way of not letting it get to me. You sort of remind me of Donna, Cassie. I know you don't know her, but if you did I bet you two would get along.

[FEELS SENTIMENTAL NOW] Why don't you let me take you out to ice cream or something sometime?

Diana told me we do. [Sad sigh.] I'm supposed to know her. I just... lost my memories of her. The castle took it as my price for being here, I guess.

Ice cream sounds good, though.

[Sitting at the ice cream place that Cassie was talking about with a butter pecan cone and a chocolate cone for himself. He's not in costume, he's wearing jeans and a red v-neck shirt. He figured the red will help him be easier to spot for her, he didn't know if Cassie had ever seen him out of costume when she's from.]

[She touches down, wearing denim shorts and a t-shirt, and spots him; she knows what he looks like, but knowing there are gaps in her memory makes her realize she doesn't really know WHY.]

Hey!

[he looks over at her, extending his arm with the ice cream cone.]

Here, doll. How are you? [He smiles at her] I decided to lose the spandex today. It makes everyone here in Paradisa too jealous, evidently. [he shrugged with a smirk]

[she takes it with a grin. Gonna let the "doll" stuff slide for now 'cause she knows he's just friendly.]

Thank you! And I'm good. How are you?

[snort]

Well, even if they looked good in it, they don't have the guts to wear it.

[actually taking his time with eating ice cream. He's learned the hard way the consequences of eating ice cream at high speeds: brain freeze.]

I'm good. Been better, I'm missing home. But I'm good!

[laughs lightly] Hey, I saw your get-up yesterday. Pretty gutsy, indeed. I don't know if a girl your age should be donning it. Now Donna's...

[pause]

Is it going to annoy you if I compare you and her a lot? [he looked a little guilty. He hated being compared to Barry.]

[she smiles]

Good. I think we all miss home, though.

Gutsy? Pfft. Could be a lot worse. What did Donna wear?

I don't mind. [she shakes her head] I want to know more about her. She's really important to me and I don't even know why.

[he nods] That's true. Hm, well... [he rubbed his chin] When Donna and I were on the Titans together she wore this uh, [he motioned his hands up and down his body signifying a one piece] tight, red, body suit. I'm a guy, I'm not good at describing clothes. But it had gold stars and a belt. But recently she got a new outtfit that's still a body suit, except it's black, and sparkly. Because it's magical. Her hair sparkles, too.

I tell ya, she's one of the most beautiful women, aside from Diana, I've ever seen. [he smiled, feeling nostalgic. He recently joined the Justice League and he missed his old teammates.]

She's gone through a lot. She's a strong woman.

Sounds familiar, actually. Like the costume I was given when I first became Wonder Girl, but I didn't want to wear it because I was worried I would wreck it, so... I made my own... [and it was a fashion DISASTER.]

I don't doubt she's gorgeous and strong, though. Someone I have to measure up to and all. She's got to be amazing. [baww] I'm gonna feel awful if she comes here.

[laughs] No kidding? When I started wearing red I kept thinking, "What if I lose all the rings?" But eventually I learned to get over that fear. I haven't lost any yet. But making your own is good, too. Brought a sense of independence, didn't it?

[nods]Gorgeous and strong sums her up, alright. Man, I had such a crush on her back when we first started the Titans. [shakes his head and laughs]

[gives her an inquisitive look] Awful?

Yeah. Young Justice brought a lot of that, too... and now the Titans.

[laughs] You did?

Well. [cringe] I don't remember her at all, and Diana says we're really close. She'd go "Hey, Cassie!" and know all about me and I'll just go "Oh, yeah, Donna, right, hi!" and pretend everything's okay. But it won't be. Wouldn't you be upset if someone you cared about showed up and they didn't know a thing about you?

Oooh, yeah. I tried to get at least one date out of Donna for a while there. But... she put me in the friend zone. [laughs, dropping his head in embarrassment] But I was pretty dorky as Kid Flash. And man, I was so pissed when she dated Rayner. [laughs lightly]

[sympathetic look and nods] I completely understand. But you know, Donna would too. I know I'm not familiar with you, but I can see how you two would be close. Sure she'd be disappointed, but she'd understand.

And if you ever do meet her again, try not to be too intimidated about measuring up to her. You handled that Claire situation like a pro. I can just tell you're a strong person in and out. And I'm gonna have to shove that ice cream in your face if you try and tell me you're not drop-dead gorgeous, Cassandra.

I think it's a prerequisite that Kid Flashes are dorky. [smile] She dated Kyle Rayner? Seriously?

I hope so.

What? [awkward laugh] Oh, shove away then, 'cause even if I grew out of the tomboy thing, I'm not a knock-out or anything. And with Claire, we were just going through buildings systematically, anyone could have done that. I couldn't not be intimidated about measuring up to Donna.

[shakes his head and smiles] No, no, no. You're a little bombshell. It's a "Wonder" lady thing, apparently. I know I have a reputation for dishing compliments to women, but you really are exceptional. [nod]

Yeah, but you were totally collected and the get-right-down-to-business type. Reminded me of Donna herself, actually. And if "Claws" didn't impulsively slice the wall, I'm sure you would've punched a gnarly hole in it. [big, cheesy smile]

Maybe she thought he was cute or something. [grin]

[pffft, flush, so complimentary. Cassie doesn't get this much.] It means a lot. Really. I'll let you know, though, I have a boyfriend.

On short notice when a good friend's in trouble? Of course. [she scoffs, but she smiles anyway] And I would have. But yeah, Allen moved first.

[gets defensive and frowns] Cuter than me? Pssh! [he waved his hand dismissivly] Rayner's arrogant. And he's not even that good-looking up close.

[he laughs] Oh, I'm sorry, I'm not trying to make a pass at you though. You're a year too young. And even so, I'm pretty sure Diana would hound me.

Dunno, can't say I've ever really met him. Just word of mouth.

Didn't think you were, but just in case. And yeah, she probably would.
