Yeah. Sounds harsh, I guess, but just because you don't blame him, or the castle played with his morals or whatever, doesn't mean he doesn't have to take responsibility for it.

I know it's not fair. When my boyfriend kicked the crap out of me and hurt a whole bunch of others while under some other power's control, I didn't think it was fair that he get punished either, but you don't just wave it off when people hurt others. Period. Whether they punish themselves or get punished, no one should be patting them on the back and telling them it's okay, it's not their fault. They have to live with it, just like the people they hurt do.

Protecting Sam from being killed, I understand, because that wouldn't be right, either, but is he seriously going to argue that Sam's innocent? He tortured you. He tortured another girl. He killed a third girl. Whether it was his personality or not he's got to answer for that.
