A party... With actual people... That must have been a nice birthday. Overwhelming maybe. I even... got presents. A cook book, at least. [a sad laugh] I bet everyone got me cook books. That seems to be all I do around here.

I shouldn't be surprised they forgot. I went home, after all... And... It's not like I made a point to remind anyone. And... since Asuka can't... remember me or anything, and probably has a lot going on here, and maybe even lots of friends to remember birthdays for or-- [cuts off laughing a little] Okay, maybe she wouldn't remember anyone's birthdays but --

... [s-sigh. he's trying to be optimistic. trying... trying... FAILING] I guess it's not much different than before. I shouldn't care. I probably wouldn't have if I hadn't looked to see if people remembered before and--

I think I'm going to make myself a cake.

Well, yes, but... If you're trying to figure out a flavor that would most likely appeal to someone when you don't know what flavor you want to ear is their favorite, then getting ideas from others is always helpful. I'd just go with what the majority liked.
