Ow, my head... I must've hit it off something when I passed out last time... Lara would be so mad at me if she were here...

U-Uhm... [totally trying to think up a good conversation topic]

Does... anyone here have any experience with monsters?

How about a giant, genius Gorilla beast?

I've known a few!

Are you alright, Raguna? It sounds like something happened to you...

Well, let's see... there's Koopas, and Goomba, and Boos and Pokeys...

Oh, my! Whatever for?

It really depends on the situation.

Goodness, I hope it's not something that happens often..!

Passed out? Are you quite all right? Have you been eating enough meat?

And yes, monsters are quite common in my world. I've fought many, and fought beside some as well.

Oh dear, that could get inconvenient.

Over two hundred types in my home world, and I saw several dozen Pokemon as well when the world changed in January.

[She laughs.] I can imagine.

Yes, that's right. It seems about every other month, Paradisa changes forms and becomes an entirely different world - it's happened three times while I've been here so far, and I expect it may happen again soon, if it holds to the pattern. While it's changed, we're usually expected to fit into the new world somehow.

For example, when it changed into the Pokémon world, we were each given one of these creatures - I believe the name is short for "Pocket Monsters", as they could "sleep" in small containers that easily fit in a pocket - and were expected to care for it and raise it. In addition, by battling wild Pokémon and capturing them, one could build up a team with different strengths and weaknesses.

Afterwards, many of us were allowed to keep one, and any additional Pokémon we caught were turned into stuffed toys. They lost their fighting abilities, but remained as pets. You're free to visit mine any time you like, of course, and I can show the toys of my other Pokémon as well.

That makes you pass out? What was it?

[identity profile] kindnessing.livejournal.com 2009-06-07 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Er... Yes. What kind were you thinking about?

[identity profile] kindnessing.livejournal.com 2009-06-07 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, okay! Er... Have you ever heard of the Digital World?

[identity profile] kindnessing.livejournal.com 2009-06-09 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it is! I live in the human world, and travel between the two is limited.
